The Duchess of Cambridge, Royal Patron of the children's mental health charity Place2Be, attended their first-ever Place2Be Wellbeing in Schools Awards tonight.
Place2Be is the leading UK provider of school-based mental health services, providing early therapeutic intervention to help children and young people cope with issues such as bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma. The Duchess has supported the program since April 2013.
The reception was held at Kensington Palace and the Duchess had the opportunity to meet the young 20 awards finalists.
Her Royal Highness presented Bailey Dunne with the Child Champion award, which acknowledges a child's contribution to the mental health and emotional wellbeing of their peers within the school community.
This evening, Kate debuted a new ensemble, pairing a Hobbs London black illusion dot top with a Jenny Packham peacock blue silk full skirt.
She accessorized her new look with previously worn pieces:
The next engagement for the Duchess of Cambridge will be on November 25th where she will attend the EACH_Norfolk £10 million capital appeal launch for a new hospice in Norwich.
REPLIKATE THE LOOK FOR LESS ...
Yesterday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince Harry, attended the wedding of their friends, Lucy Meade and Charlie Budgett. Prince William is a close friend of Lucy's brother James. Their friendship dates back to their days at Eton College. The wedding was held at St. Mary's Church in Marshfield, Gloucestershire. Kate wore her M Missoni blue tweed coat atop her Whistles 'Bella' bodycon dress. Both pieces date back to 2012. The Duchess completed the outfit with black accessories; including her Mulberry 'Bayswater' suede clutch, Episode 'Angel' suede pumps, and John Lock & Co. 'Fairy Tale' hat. She also wore her gold Cassandra Goad 'Temple of Heaven' earrings. GET KATE'S 'WEDDING GUEST' STYLE ...
This evening, The Duchess of Cambridge joined Her Majesty, the Queen to host a star-studded reception at Buckingham Palace honouring The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), of which the Queen is patron. The Royal duo greeted an estimated 250 guests, including Dame Helen Mirren, Cate Blanchett, Sir David Attenborough, Uma Thurman, and Downton Abbey creator, Julian Fellowes. Tonight, Kate looked vibrant in the red peplum Alexander McQueen dress, first worn to the Diamond Jubilee River Pageant in June 2012. It is also believed she wore it to the Queen's pre-Christmas luncheon in December. The Duchess opted for classic black satin accessories, carrying her customised Anya Hindmarch 'Maud' frame clutch and Prada shoes. Both pieces we have seen before, and Kate first wore this combination when she meet the Obama's at Buckingham Palace in May 2011. Catherine has her 'Maud' clutch personalised with the initial C. The bespoke clutch retails for £450 and comes in an array of colours. It is fabricated from luxuriously soft satin, made using tightly woven thread to give a glossy appearance. Kate finished her look wearing Cassandra Goad 'Temple of Heaven' girandole pendant earrings. The 9ct yellow gold earrings retail for £1,365 and have been worn by the Duchess for a number of years. You can read more about tonight's event here.
Currently, the Duchess of Cambridge has no official events planned for the immediate future. I suspect Kate's appearances will slow up over the next couple of months as she plans for the Royal Tour of Australia and New Zealand in April 2014. |
I have retired the "Bits and Bobs" section of the website and started a new segment title "Outfit Chronicle".
