Today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released an official family portrait for Prince George's first Mothering Sunday (Mother's Day). The photo was taken by award-winning photographer Jason Bell, who also took the official Christening photos last October. The shot shows the royal family nestled near a window sill at their home, Apartment 1A of Kensington Palace. All look happy and relaxed. Kate is holding the 8-month-old Prince, who has his eyes affectionately turned toward their beloved dog, Lupo. Prince George wears a cute pale blue knit jumper with his name across the front. Kate wears her Temperley London 'Rodeo' blouse, first seen during the Royal tour of Canada at the Calgary Stampede. The Temperley ivory shirt originally retailed for US$660. It is fabricated from a gossamer silk and cotton-blend and trimmed with lace. What I personally love about this photo, is that it shows that the Cambridge's are a contented and confident family, who are keen to share their life with the world, while being devoted more than anything to each other.
This weeks Hello! Magazine has exclusive photos of The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George as they head to the Caribbean island of Mustique to holiday with the rest of the Middleton family. The photo shows Kate looking happy and relaxed as she steps off the plane holding six-month-old George in her arms. Kate looked casually chic in her Ralph Lauren 'Tori' Breton Striped Tee. This long sleeved boatneck tee from the Ralph Lauren 2012 resort collection has sold out but you can shop similar styles here. Kate wore her trusty J Brand '811' skinny jeans (in stock). On her feet were the MINT VELVET plimsolls (sold out). She finished the outfit with Givenchy 'Obsedia' sunglasses (in stock). There is also some interest in what Prince George was wearing. It is believed his adorable little sun hat is by Zutano, an American kids wear company which has a boutique in London. There are currently no suggestions for his white coverall, but here are some similar styles ...
Only the Duchess of Cambridge can go from wearing a dazzling diamond tiara to a basic ball cap in the space of 24 hours! Last night, Kate and William attended their first white-tie event, the annual Diplomatic Reception hosted by The Queen at Buckingham Palace. Here they are arriving at the Reception in a chauffeur-driven Bentley. For the first time since her wedding day, Kate donned a tiara. The Queen loaned the Duchess the Papyrus tiara, also known as the Lotus Flower Tiara, which once belonged to the Queen Mother. She paired the tiara with The Queen's diamond chandelier earrings, which she has previously worn to the Los Angeles BAFTA reception in 2011. Kate's dress is believed to be a bespoke Alexander McQueen lace gown. This was a private function so unfortunately we don't expect any photos will be released of the event. Today, PopSugar posted exclusive photos of the Duchess casually strolling through Kensington Gardens with baby Prince George and donning a baseball cap. These are the first paparazzi shots taken of Kate with Prince George, and it remains to be seen how the Palace will react to this privacy breach. Kate layered up with her waxed Barbour 'Defence' jacket, sweater and scarf. The sweater is speculated to be by Zara. The Barbour 'Defence' jacket has been discontinued, but here is a lovely repliKate from Calvin Klein. Kate also appears to have worn her much-loved J Brand 811 skinny jeans. They've been a staple in Kate's closet over the past couple of years and we've seen her wear them on many occasions. Kate kept her hands warm and toasty with Fownes gloves which she first wore during a 2011 visit to St. Andrews University. The hat appears to be her Tactical 511 cap, seen previously in 2008 at a polo match with Prince William.
Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge turned to her favourite design house for her son Prince George's christening yesterday, looking stunning in a customised Alexander McQueen ensemble. The bespoke creation featured a statement ruffle jacket and a matching A-line skirt. It was based on a leaf crepe coat dress previously seen among the Spring/Summer 2012 McQueen collections as pictured below. Kate accessorized her two-piece outfit with a Jane Taylor felt beret, appropriately named 'Georgie'. The hat features a delicate silk organza rose and a classic veil trim. On her feet were her beige Russell & Bromley 'Park Ave' platform pumps. Kate finished the look with her Kiki McDonough citrine drop earrings. You can read the full details of Prince George's christening on the official website of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
