Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh celebrated their Platinum wedding anniversary today. The royal couple chose to mark the occasion with a private dinner with family and their closest friends.
William, Kate and Harry arrived at Windsor Castle in Berkshire this evening for the family event.
Kate donned her Diane von Furstenberg 'Zarita' Black Lace Gown for the occasion which she debuted in November 2014 and recently wore again at the AFNCCF Gala Dinner earlier this month.
The floor-length version has sold out, but the style remains available in the cocktail length at DVF ($139.20), Nordstrom Rack ($139.97), and Matches Fashion ($174).
Tonight the Duchess teamed Princess Diana's Collingwood diamond and pearl drop earrings with a pearl necklace we have not seen on Kate before.
It is the Four Row Japanese Pearl Choker from Queen Elizabeth's personal jewellery collection. According to the blog From Her Majesty's Jewel Vault; the necklace includes four rows of pearls with a central diamond clasp in a curved shape, each side including three rows of diamonds that join at the top and bottom with marquise diamonds. According to Garrard: The Crown Jewellers for 150 Years, The Queen commissioned this from a set of the "finest cultured pearls presented to her by the Japanese government."
The Daily Mail posted a photo of Kate wearing what appears to be a black boulce coat over the top of her dress as she left Windsor Castle. What Kate Wore suggests it could be the Alexander McQueen long textured coat (US$4,450).
We will next see the Duchess on Wednesday when she joins Prince William for a day of engagements in Birmingham.
