The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent the day in Dundee, Scotland and undertook a number of engagements related to youth mental well-being.
The Earl and Countess of Strathearn, as they are known in Scotland, met while studying at nearby St Andrews University. Kensington Palace tweeted that the royal couple spent last night in St Andrews, staying at the luxurious Old Course Hotel.
The first stop for William & Kate in Dundee was the city's Rep Theatre, where they joined a group of young volunteers with See Me, a Scotland-wide initiative to end mental health stigma, who discussed their experiences of the issue and how they were helping others.
Next for William & Kate was a visit to to The Corner, an institution which runs a drop-in centre for teenagers wanting advice on a range of issues.
Next on the agenda was a visit to explorer Captain Scott's ship Royal Research Ship Discovery, which was built in Dundee and carried him and Ernest Shackleton on their first expedition to Antarctica in 1901.
The final stop for the Earl and Countess of Strathearn was Abertay University, where the royal couple met young beneficiaries of BAFTA’s support for new talent in the gaming industry.
Today, Kate wore a bespoke blue coat from Scottish designer Christopher Kane.
On closer inspection you can see that it has a fine blue/black houndstooth pattern.
The silhouette is similar to the Christopher Kane ice blue sateen coat she premiered at the London Olympics Opening Ceremony.
Kate teamed the coat with a black turtleneck knit top and a matching Christopher Kane kilt-style skirt made of the same fabric as the coat.
Kate accessorized with familiar items including her Aquatalia by Marvin K. Black 'Rhumba' boots.
She carried the Stuart Weitzman 'Muse' clutch in black suede and Cornelia James 'Imogen' bow gloves.
We saw the return of her sapphire and diamond oval drop earrings and Cartier Ballon Bleu wristwatch.
