The Duchess of Cambridge attended the Place2Be "Wellbeing in Schools" Awards this evening in her role as Royal Patron of the children's mental health charity. It was the second of two engagements today, following her earlier visit to the Natural History Museum.
Kate inaugurated the Wellbeing in Schools Awards in 2014 to recognise ambassadors of positive mental health and highlight the unique contribution that school communities make to the wellbeing of local communities.
The Duchess took time to chat with inspiring young people and parents who are involved with the organisation.
Before awarding this year's prizes, the Duchess delivered a speech acknowledging the work taking place across Place2Be schools in support of children’s mental health.
Kate dazzled in a black Preen dress as she arrived for tonight's ceremony at Mansion House, the official residence of London's Lord Mayor.
She opted for a familiar silhouette, wearing the designer's 'Finella' midi dress (£1,000) - a style she recently debuted in red for a reception at Government House in Victoria, Canada.
Kate jazzed up the 50's-inspired cocktail dress with a black crystal bow belt from Temperley London.
The piece originates from Temperley London's Fall/Winter 2012/13 collection and was previewed with the designer's 'Noa' coat - which the Duchess also has in her closet.
She accessorized with her black Mulberry 'Bayswater' suede clutch and a new pair of black suede perforated pumps.
They are the Prada Suede Cutout Wave Pumps (US$750). The Italian-made 3.3" heels have a pointed-toe and feature a wave cutout detail.
Kate finished the look with a new pair of earrings. @AnnieElizabethN suggests the diamond orbital teardrop earrings are on loan from Queen Elizabeth II.
Her Majesty wore them for the State Opening of Parliament in 2012, however their provenance is unknown.
