The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined the The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace this evening to host a reception marking the launch of the UK-India Year of Culture.
Kate looked exquisite in a new dress by Erdem.
She wore the designer's 'Rhona' Long-Sleeve Pleated Lace Dress (sold out). The metallic lace dress features a midi hemline, semi-sheer sleeves with button cuffs, allover pleating and a belt accentuating the waist.
Kate's not the first royal to don the dress. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway wore the same dress last year.
The Duchess also premiered a new pair of glittering heels. On her feet she wore the Oscar de la Renta Platinum Lamé Cabrina Pumps (US$690). The Cinderella inspired shoes feature a glistening platinum lamé. The Italian-made pair has a sleek, architectural silhouette with a pointed toe, scalloped sides and raised back.
Kate made a sartorial nod towards India through choosing to wear earrings by Indian designer Anita Dongre.
These ones are the Kundan Pearl Drop Earrings.
Kate got to meet Anita at this evening's reception and you may recall she wore a dress by the designer on the first day of the Royal Tour of India.
We will see the Duchess again tomorrow when she visits Ronald McDonald House in Evelina, London.
