This morning, the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge attended a service of commemoration to mark the end of combat operations in Afghanistan.
Today's remembrance service was for the servicemen and women who died during the 13-year Afghanistan campaign and veterans who fought in the conflict. At St Paul's Cathedral, the Queen lead the nation in honoring all those who fought to free Afghanistan from the Taliban. She was also joined by her husband, The Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Prince Harry - who served two tours during the conflict.
The Duchess looked elegant in a new navy coat by Beulah London.
Annabelle Gonzalez quickly identified it as the navy 'Chiara' wool trapeze overcoat (£650). It is made from 100% wool with a nipped-in waist and soft folds at the hem. It was a fitting choice for the nature of the occasion.
Kate recycled her accessories. On her feet were the Alexander McQueen navy suede pumps. She carried her Stuart Weitzman Muse navy suede 'Muse' clutch and navy bow gloves (first worn to Place2Be Forum in 2013). They remain unidentified.
Today the Duchess premiered some exquisite jewellery.
The My Small Obsessions Facebook community where quick to identify the set. The jewels are from G. Collins & Sons, a family run company that has a Royal warrant of appointment from Her Majesty the Queen. In 2007, Mr Collins became Crown Jeweler and is involved in the care and maintenance of the Crown Jewels housed in the Tower of London.
The set Kate wore today features an inverted pear-shaped 6.3 carat tanzanite pendant, surrounded by .87 carat of diamonds, set in platinum. It retails for a staggering £8400 which reflects the rarity of the tanzanite stone.
Kate’s specific earrings are not shown on the G. Collins website. However, the jeweler showcased a similar pair on its Instagram account. The only difference seems to be removal of the v-shaped three-stone upper section of the earrings.
She also donned a new navy felt wool saucer hat from Jane Taylor.
It is from the milliner's A/W 2015 collection.
Today, the Duchess was elegant and refined, and this is my favorite maternity look thus far. I'll leave you with a photo of Kate's gorgeous chignon hair-do.
