The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touched down in the state of Assam this afternoon and traveled to Kaziranga National Park where they will stay until Thursday morning. They arrived in private jet and Kate stepped off the plane wearing the jade green Temperley number from earlier today.
Here's a look at the royal entourage.
William and Kate received a ceremonial welcome at the airport.
Kate made a wardrobe change for this evening's festivities, donning a new dress by a label we have not seen her wear before. The Duchess wore a colourful maxi by American designer, Anna Sui who's style is described as "romantic but with a rock ‘n’ roll spirit."
Kate wore the Crinkled Silk-Chiffon and Twill Maxi Dress (£805) from the designer's Fall '15 collection.
The blue/green folk-style dress is printed with floral and animal motifs and trimmed with embroidery for soft structure. It has an airy crinkled silk-chiffon bodice and pleated twill skirt.
On her feet were the trusty black Pied A Terre 'Imperia' Wedges, although she may need to retire them after this evening's battering!
Kate accessorized with jade chandelier earrings.
The eagle-eyed @AnnieElizabethN recognized Kate's earrings as a pair she first wore in 2006.
Their visit to the park comes at the time of the Bohag Bihu festival, the celebration of the Assamese New Year. Around a campfire, the Duke and Duchess met local people and watched dance and musical performances.
This little boy was adorable, and William and Kate were smitten by him.
The couple were presented with traditional hand woven scarves.
The theme of this leg of the tour focuses on the role of conservation in the lives of the rural people of this area. Kaziranga is a World Heritage Site and a wildlife conservation site of great global importance. Tomorrow, the Duke & Duchess will set off on a safari around the park.
