The Duchess of Cambridge didn't have to travel far today for her engagement. She was in her home county of Norfolk to open a new charity shop for East Anglia Children's Hospices, of which she is patron.
The new EACH store in the market town of Holt is one of 21 for the charity. The goodwill outlets offer second-hand clothing, books, and bric-a-brac, with all profits directed back into the charity.
Kate marked the official opening by cutting a ribbon with the help of two families who receive care and support from the charity.
During her visit, Kate was given a tour of the shop and became the store's first customer.
The Duchess spent £10 and bought Fireman Sam's Favourite Tales book for Prince George and a Beatrix Potter Tom Kitten figurine for Princess Charlotte.
Kate consciously choose to recycle an outfit for the thrift shop visit. She wore her M Missoni blue tweed coat.
She debuted the coat during a 2012 visit to Fortnum & Mason. She wore it again that year for a trip to Nottingham with William and the Queen. We saw her back in it for thewedding of Lucy Meade and Charlie Budgett in 2014.
Kate paired the coat with her azure blue ZARA pleated dress.
The frock is affectionately known as the "honeymoon dress". The Duchess of Cambridge first wore it on the day after the royal wedding, when she and William departed Buckingham Palace for a weekend honeymoon retreat. She has also worn it several times since.
The Duchess accessorized with familiar pieces including her Sapphire and diamond earrings, Cartier watch and Stuart Weitzman 'Muse' clutch.
Kate did however wear a new pair of navy suede heeled shoes.
On her feet were the Prada Pointy Toe Pumps (US$670). The Italian made shoes feature a modest 85 mm (3.5") heel. Below we see the shoes in purple suede.
These are the lowest heeled pumps in Kate's ever-growing collection of navy suede pumps, which include styles from Alexander McQueen, Jimmy Choo and Rupert Sanderson.
If you'd like to support EACH you can visit their online shop or purchase the Emma Bridgewater Two Half Pint Mugs and the Emma Bridgewater Bags.
