The Duchess of Cambridge made a solo trip to Luxembourg today to participate in the 150th anniversary commemorations of the 1867 Treaty of London. The treaty was signed in 1867 by all of the Great Powers of Europe to confirm Luxembourg’s independence and neutrality.
The Duchess stepped out in a new sky blue coat dress by Emilia Wickstead. The bespoke design is similar to the hunter green Emilia Wickstead piece she wore for the St Patrick's Day parade in 2012.
The coat dress has a fit-and-flare silhouette, a set-in waistband and notch collar with peak lapels. @HeavenQRF points out that the double wool crepe fabric resembles the material used in the Foster Tuxedo Jacket - a piece from the designer’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection.
Kate accessorized with her cream Etui woven clutch (sold out) and LK Bennett Fern Trench Leather Pumps.
She wore her Mappin & Webb 'Empress' necklace and we got a glimpse of a new pair of dazzling earrings.
They are the KIKI Blue Topaz and Diamond Drop Earrings in white gold (£3,500) - thanks to @RomanceRoyal for the ID. The earrings feature a blue topaz oval cut stone and cushion cut drop stone surrounded by diamonds set in 18ct white gold.
Kate's hair also deserves a special mention. It looks like she trimmed off some of her weighty locks and opted for a shorter layered effect.
Kate's first stop in Luxembourg was the MUDAM museum where she was accompanied by Stéphanie, Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg for a tour of the current exhibitions by British artists.
Following this, Kate was escorted to 'Place Clairefontaine' to attend a cycling themed festival. Here she was introduced to the Grand Duchy's most famous cycling icons and got a chance to meet children who are designing Tour de France jerseys ahead of the tour coming to Luxembourg in July.
Her next stop was the Grand Ducal Palace where she meet with the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg.
The Duchess concluded her day in Luxembourg at the 'Dräi Eechelen' Museum for the official commemoration event of the 1867 Treaty of London.
