Greville Ruby Floral Bandeau NecklaceWhen Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) married Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark in 1947, she received the Greville Ruby Necklace as a wedding gift from her mother, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. The necklace was part of the Greville Bequest, the collection of jewels left to Queen Elizabeth by the Hon. Mrs. Ronald Greville following her death in 1942. Created by Boucheron in Paris in 1907, the exquisite ruby and diamond necklace features a distinctive floral design and a large pear-shaped diamond pendant. |
