On Wednesday, Prince William and Princess Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, concluded their two-day visit to the Scottish Isles with a nature-focused day on the Isles of Mull and Iona.
The day began at Ardura Community Forest on Mull, an ancient Atlantic rainforest. The couple met Countryside Rangers from the Mull and Iona Ranger Service, learning about conservation efforts and biodiversity protection.
They joined the Ardura Acorns, an outdoor playgroup for 0-5-year-olds, engaging in nature trails, den-building, and storytelling. Catherine, a longtime advocate for early years, beamed while playing by the River Lussa, emphasizing the value of outdoor learning.
The couple then took a public ferry to Iona, a tiny island of 170 residents, meeting ferry staff and locals to discuss the island’s traditional way of life and its vital transport links.
They toured Iona to gain insight into the island's rich heritage—from crofting and fishing to community-led initiatives—while also learning about the unique challenges of modern island life and how the community continues to thrive through unity and shared purpose.

On Tuesday, The Prince and Princes of Wales, known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland, marked their 14th wedding anniversary with a two-day visit to the Isles of Mull and Iona.
This trip, their first overnight engagement since Princess Catherine’s cancer diagnosis in 2024, reflects their deep connection to Scotland, where they first met at the University of St Andrews over two decades ago.
The visit began in the colorful coastal town of Tobermory. The couple toured Aros Hall, a community hub with a food-saving fridge and play area, joining locals to build a kitchen cabinet and paint a mural.
A stroll through an artisan market allowed them to sample local produce and connect with craftspeople, with over 200 well-wishers greeting them to the sound of bagpipes.
The couple also visited a croft to learn about sustainable farming and hospitality, emphasizing Mull’s vibrant tourism and agricultural industries. Their Royal Foundation announced partnerships to support Aros Hall and Pennyghael Community Hall, reinforcing community spaces vital for local connection.
Princess Catherine looked effortlessly elegant in a smart casual ensemble, combining tailored pieces with outdoor-friendly touches, perfect for the coastal setting. Below is a detailed breakdown of Kate’s look.
