The British Royal Family rolled out the red carpet tonight for the visiting King and Queen of Spain. Queen Elizabeth hosted a state banquet at Buckingham Palace in honour of the Spanish monarchs, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge partook in the evening along with many other members of the Royal family.
This was Kate's second state banquet at Buckingham Palace and she looked majestic in a dusty pink lace gown by Marchesa teamed with some serious crown jewels!
Photos from tonight's banquet are very limited and screen grabs are the best we can manage. Below we see the gown in its entirety. It has a plunging neckline, deep v-back, cropped bell sleeves and a full skirt.
What Kate Wore points out that the gown looks like a mishmash of features from multiple Marchesa styles. On the left, the Frilled Lace Peplum Blouse from the Fall 2017 pre-fall collection. In the center, the Guipure Lace Peplum Gown and on the right, a gown from Marchesa Bridal.
Kate returned to her new 'go-to' tiara - the Queen Mary Lover's Knot tiara, and once the signature diadem of the late Princess of Wales. You can read about the history of the tiara here.
It is a piece Kate has worn twice before to the annual diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace in 2015 and 2016.
Tonight the Duchess paired the tiara with diamond and pearl drop earrings which also belonged to Princess Diana.
This was a combination the late Princess wore often. They were a wedding gift from Collingwood Jewellers and are part of Diana's private collection. It's believed William gifted them to Kate.
The glittering effect extended to Kate's neckline. She wore the Queen’s Ruby and Diamond Floral Bandeau Necklace. The statement piece was a wedding gift to the then Princess Elizabeth from her parents, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. It was part of the Greville bequest, the collection of jewelry left to Queen Elizabeth by the Hon. Mrs. Ronald Greville when she died. Mrs. Greville purchased the necklace from Boucheron in 1907.
As many of you know, I also run the blog Queen Letizia Style so this evening was a real treat for me, bringing together the two royal ladies I passionately follow! Her Majesty, Queen Letizia looked resplendent in a red off-the-shoulder gown by Felipe Varela. You'll find her complete outfit details on the Queen Letizia Style blog.

The Duchess of Cambridge, in her new role as Patron of Wimbledon kick-started day one of The Championships.
Kate also chatted with the ball boys and ball girls before they took up their positions on court.
She then took her seat in the Royal Box to watch Andy Murray and Alexander Bublik play the first Centre Court match of The Championships.
Kate was easy to spot on the grounds of the The All England Club in a white and black polka dot dress.
The Duchess debuted the Dolce & Gabbana Polka-dot print silk-blend charmeuse dress (US$2,595) - an ultra-feminine fit-and-flare frock with 3/4 sleeves. The dress is currently reduced down to US$$1,557 at Matches Fashion, £825 at Farfetch, and US$1,038 at Kirna Zabete.
The stock photo above shows the dress with a scoop neckline, however we believe Kate had hers modified to a square. Dolce & Gabbana does offer the print on a sheath silhouette with a square neckline so perhaps Kate's dress is a fusion of the two.
Kate also premiered a pair of black suede heels. They are the Office 'Nina' Block Heel Sandals in Black Nubuck (£62), with thanks to @Giulia_lelepug for the ID.
We saw the return of the Victoria Beckham 'Quincy' tote which Kate coincidentally debuted at last year's Wimbledon semi finals clash between Serena Williams and Elena Vesnina.
She kept her jewellery simple, only wearing her Oscar de la Renta hammered gold-plated faux pearl earrings.
Kate topped off her winning Wimbledon style with a new pair of sunglasses.
They are the Bvlgari BV8170 Black Cat's Eye Framed Sunglasses - with thanks to @Giulia_lelepug and @irishsara for the ID.
And finally, the Duchess also sported a new haircut! She's had inches trimmed off, refreshing her look for the summer.
