On Saturday, the Prince and Princess of Wales made a high-profile family appearance at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. Joined by their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—the outing marked a rare public appearance for the family during their traditional summer break.
The family attended a number of the sporting fixtures taking place on Day 9 of the Games, visibly enthralled by the action, and soaking up the high-energy arena crowd.
The action at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome proved to be a real royal reunion, with the Waleses seated close to the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. The Duke, who holds the role of Vice-Patron of Commonwealth Sport, has been a regular fixture alongside Sophie throughout this year's Games.
Beyond watching the action from their VIP seats, William and Catherine ensured their children experienced the heart of the Games by meeting volunteers and the many people working behind the scenes to make the event a success.
For the family day out, the Princess of Wales opted for a polished yet relaxed ensemble, debuting a mix of new separates.
She wore the Ralph Lauren Collection 'Camden' Cashmere Jacket in Dark Racing Green. Crafted from luxurious 100% cashmere, the tailored double-breasted blazer features a slim silhouette with peaked lapels, structured shoulders, waist-defining darts, flap pockets, and a welt breast pocket.
Layered under the jacket was a La Ligne Striped Featherweight Sweater Vest.
The white pleated skirt is a repeat from Wimbledon in 2023.
While its designer was never officially confirmed, it is widely believed to be a Christopher Kane creation.
Kate also owns a similar Christopher Kane skirt in red, which has likewise been customised with the crystal embellishment removed.
Kate finished the look with her Annoushka Pearl and Kiki Diamond Hoop Earrings abd, Daniella Draper Three Star Necklace and Halcyon Days 'Maya Torque' Bangle.
