The Princess of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief of 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards, visited the Regiment for the first time on Wednesday in Swanton Morley.
The Princess was appointed Colonel-in-Chief of 1St The Queen's Dragoon Guards (QDG) by King Charles III in August this year. This visit allowed Catherine to receive a brief introduction into the Regiment and the operations they carry out, as well as meet families of QDG who live nearby.
âWhile on her visit, The Princess presented Long Service & Good Conduct medals to several dedicated servicemen and women in the Regiment.
Additionally, she bestowed a well-deserved promotion upon the Regimental Mascot, Trooper 'Longface' Emrys Jones, a Bay Welsh Mountain Pony, elevating him from the rank of 'Lance Corporal' to 'Corporal'.â
For this engagement, Kate wore wore her black Holland Cooper double-breasted blazer with a turtleneck top, black jeans, and her See by Chloé combat boots.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were in Scotland on Thursday to meet organisations supporting rural communities and those working to provide mental health support to young people.
Known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay when in Scotland, the royal couple first visited Outfit Moray in Moray, which provides outdoor learning and adventure activity programs for young people.
Following that, the Duke and Duchess visited Brodieshill Farm, where they met with members of the Lower Speyside Young Farmers and representatives from Farmstrong Scotland. This meeting allowed them to delve deeper into the organizations' efforts to promote positive mental well-being in rural communities in Scotland and provide support to local farmers.
William and Kate wrapped up their trip to Scotland with a visit to DAY1 in Inverness, a charity that offers mentoring, training, personal development, and employability services to vulnerable young people.

After taking a break during the school holidays to spend time with her children, the Princess of Wales returned to her royal duties on Wednesday.
She meet with members of the 'Dadvengers,' a community for dads and their children at the Arnos Arms in North London to highlight the important role that fathers play in their children's earliest years.
Dadvengers primarily operates as an online community dedicated to providing support for fathers as they navigate parenthood. The organization places a significant emphasis on promoting mental well-being and offers assistance to new fathers through various means, such as online training programs, podcasts, and most recently, in-person Dad Walks.

The Prince and Princess of Wales visited SportsAid at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre in Marlow, England, on Thursday as part of their week-long engagements across the UK to mark World Mental Health Day.
The royal couple learned about SportsAid's ongoing work with athletes, parents, and guardians on mental health and wellbeing, along with the innovative mind health program being developed by the charity in collaboration with BelievePerform to provide advanced support to athletes and their families.
Later, Kate and William engaged in a game of goalball, a Paralympic sport designed for individuals with visual impairments.
