Meanwhile, Prince William rode on horseback alongside his uncle, the Duke of Edinburgh, and his aunt, Princess Anne, in their roles as Colonels. Following the parade, the Wales family was reunited on the balcony at Buckingham Palace for the traditional RAF fly-past. Today, the Princess stepped out in a pastel sky-blue 'Lafayette' coatdress by Catherine Walker, layered over a flowing white chiffon dress (or skirt), creating a soft and elegant aesthetic. The 'Lafayette' has an elongated silhouette with structured shoulders, clean princess seams, and a sculpted bodice that contours the waist before falling into a fluid midi-length skirt.  Contrast trim highlights the angular lapels and asymmetric front, drawing attention to the double-breasted fastening and fabric-covered buttons. Sleek sleeves are finished with subtle cuff detailing that echoes the lapel edge. Many have drawn comparisons between this design and the Catherine Walker coat worn by the late Diana, Princess of Wales, with a young Prince William at her side mirroring his mother's look. Catherine complemented the coatdress with a new sinamay hat - a custom version of Philip Treacy's OC 315 style from the milliner’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection.  The striking design features an oversized saucer brim in soft blue, accented by sculptural satin detailing on one side and finished with an elegant white dome. The Princess completed the ensemble with her Cassandra Goad 'Cavolfiore' pearl stud earrings, alongside meaningful pieces including Princess Diana’s Nigel Milne three-strand pearl bracelet and her Irish Guards regimental brooch—a nod to her role as Colonel of the regiment.

These kind of coatdress are becoming boring and this one is particularly boring. This silhoutte she likes for the most part doesn't do her favour either, it fits better on the model who has a different figure than her.
