On Thursday, The Princess of Wales visited Castle Hill Academy in New Addington, Croydon, to mark Children’s Mental Health Week 2026 in her capacity as Patron of Place2Be.
Place2Be is a leading UK children’s mental health charity that provides in-school support, counselling and training to enhance the emotional wellbeing of pupils, families and school staff. During the visit, The Princess met parents who have benefited from the charity’s services and saw first-hand the impact of its work within the school community.
Catherine also spent time in the school’s art studio, joining pupils as they took part in the official Children’s Mental Health Week art project.
She later met with leaders from Castle Hill Academy and Place2Be to discuss the organisation’s whole-school approach to mental health support, as well as the specific challenges facing children and families in New Addington.
For the occasion, the Princess opted for rich brown separates, styling her Petar Petrov Wool-Blend Blazer with a new pair of £295 Joseph 'Coleman' Trousers in Cocoa (ID by @princessofwalesstyle). Available at Joseph and Selfridges.
She offset the warm brown tones with a crisp blue shirt by WNU, choosing ‘The Boyfriend’ Shirt in Sky Blue (£95) — a style she also owns in white. ID by Middleton Maven.
On her feet were a new pair of Boden 'Nya' Penny Loafers in Oxblood (£119).
A closer look at her brown Emilia Wickstead leather belt.
Kate completed the ensemble with her KIKI Classics Pear Drop Earrings in Blue Topaz and Auree 'Bali' January Garnet Birthstone Necklace.

I have never put blue and brown together, but this works well, I love it! The brown pants and blazer are different shades of brown, but I don't mind this whatsoever. The pants are great, good length, not baggy. The blazer is gorgeous, I like this style and design. She looks wonderful. The Loafers, I love. I would so love these Loafers in my wardrobe, they look so good with these style of pants. Her ensemble was perfect for this visit.

I think brown and blue may be my new favourite color combination this season! I love the cigarette-style pants especially with the croc-stamped loafers. Such a smart look from the Princess.

Ive worn brown and blue together for decades, much as in the way the Princess of Wales does here - casual business style AND got a ton of friendly teasing from co-workers about the color combo. Im retired now and will be sending a link to this post with a friendly "I told you this combo works" to all my nay saying pals. The Princess of Wales is impeccable in her manner and dress. She looks spectacular and long life to her and those she loves!

I'd have not picked these earrings. I realized that she is wearing them to match the blue button-shirt, but then I think the necklace should've had a blue gemstone as well.
