Princess Catherine tours Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital

On Wednesday, the Princess of Wales visited Colchester Hospital in Essex to tour the RHS Wellbeing Garden, a therapeutic space designed to promote the mental and physical well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.

During her visit, the Princess engaged with patients and staff at the hospital's Cancer Wellbeing Centre, discussing the challenges faced during cancer recovery. She described the post-treatment phase as "really difficult," highlighting the emotional and physical hurdles that persist even after treatment concludes .

In a symbolic gesture, Catherine planted several "Catherine's Rose" plants in the wellbeing garden. These roses, named in her honor, are part of a broader initiative to donate 500 plants to wellbeing and community gardens across the UK. Proceeds from their sale support the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, reflecting the Princess's ongoing commitment to cancer care and recovery .
