The Princess of Wales defied expectations by attending the Wimbledon Gentlemen's Singles Final on Sunday. This marked her second public engagement since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March.
The Princess arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, receiving a warm welcome and a standing ovation from the Centre Court crowd (shown in the video below).

The princesses were joined by Kate's younger sister, Pippa Matthews, in the Royal Box. They watched as Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic in three sets to win back-to-back Wimbledon titles.
Kate, a patron of the Club since 2016, continued her royal duty by presenting the winner's trophy after the final match.
Following the game, the royals had the opportunity to personally meet the players and congratulate Alcaraz on his second Wimbledon title.

I was hoping we would see Princess Catherine during the Wimbledon tournament, and I'm delighted she was well enough to attend the Championships along with her beautiful daughter and sister. I've missed seeing her on a regular basis. She looked so lovely in this purple frock and it was a fitting choice for the occassion.

I'm quite stunned by the fact that, be it it a beautiful designer dress, the cut definitely doesn't suit the POW. The dress is designed for a fuller chest, the draping looks droopy and the the insert goes far too high around the neck. It does justice neither to the designer, nor to the wearer, despite being a very nice colour. Safyia could have made a better job of fitting the dress to the POW.
