Tonight, the British Royal Family hosted an opulent state banquet at Windsor Castle, warmly welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, during their three-day state visit to the United Kingdom.
Ahead of the grand event honoring the French delegation, the Prince and Princess of Wales posed for a striking photograph, exuding elegance and regal poise.
Catherine, resplendent in a stunning Sarah Burton for Givenchy gown, embodied fashion diplomacy, blending British design talent with French couture heritage—a sartorial nod to the deep ties between the two nations. The bespoke dress was described as “a dark red silk-crepon gathered evening gown, with caped back detailing.”
The gown appears to be an adaptation of a ready-to-wear piece from Givenchy’s current collection.
The Princess carried a coordinating Givenchy box clutch in dark red silk with a lily-of-the-valley floral motif. We also got a glimpse of Princess Diana's Nigel Milne triple-strand pearl bracelet.
Her royal jewellery featured the Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara and the Greville Diamond Chandelier Earrings.
The Princess wore the sash and badge of the Royal Victorian Order, along with the Maltese Cross. This evening, she debuted the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, worn alongside that of Queen Elizabeth II.
On her sash, Kate also wore the Grand Officer Rosette of the French National Order of Merit, awarded by President Emmanuel Macron.

The Princess looks lovely, the red gown so elegant. Loved her jewel choices. The diamond earrings are beautiful, perfect for this red gown.
