The Princess of Wales made a surprise appearance today, joining her husband, Prince William, at a service held at London’s Guildhall Great Hall to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day and mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
The event brought together faith leaders, civic leaders, and survivors of the Holocaust, as well as those who endured more recent genocides, including those in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur.
The royal couple shared an emotional reunion with Holocaust survivors Yvonne Bernstein and Steven Frank, whom Kate photographed in 2020 to commemorate 75 years since the Holocaust's end.
Kensington Palace shared a video showcasing poignant moments from the solemn remembrance ceremony.

Although it's hidden in most pictures because of the hair, she is wearing a brooch as well.
