Princess of Wales Honours British Design at Queen Elizabeth II Award

On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales attended the presentation of the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design at 180 Studios in London. Hosted by the British Fashion Council (BFC), the annual event celebrates the creativity and innovation of emerging British designers.

The Princess presented this year's award to London-based fashion designer, Patrick McDowell.

During the event, Catherine also toured the pop-up studio of the winning designer, exploring their eco-conscious design process firsthand.

She also met with recipients and shortlisted designers from the BFC Foundation’s initiatives, including BFC NEWGEN, BFC Fashion Trust, BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund, and BFC/GQ Designer Fashion Fund, viewing their inspiring collections.

For the occasion, Kate chose a sophisticated olive-green trouser suit from Victoria Beckham’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, exuding modern elegance and championing British design.

The tailored wool-blend ensemble featured a patch-pocket blazer (US$1,250) and coordinating flared 'Alina' trousers (US$750).

Kate paired the suit with an ivory silk ruffle-front blouse by Knatchbull - Savile Row's first and only shopfront for women.  Retailing for about £565, the blouse adds a soft, feminine touch to the structured look. 

On her feet we saw the return of the Ralph Lauren 'Celia' Calfskin Pump in RL Gold.

The Princess accessorized with Queen Elizabeth II’s Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings, a sentimental nod to the late monarch for whom the award is named.
