Returning refreshed from their summer holidays, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited the Natural History Museum in London to explore its newly transformed gardens, showcasing their commitment to environmental initiatives.
The royal couple learned how innovative technology is being applied throughout the garden to support the Museum’s biodiversity research and conservation projects.
The Prince and Princess next joined schoolchildren from Lewisham for a pond-dipping session, before meeting students from Manchester who have been developing new habitats on their school grounds as part of the National Education Nature Park programme.
Kensington Palace released a short highlight video from the engagement.
For her visit to the Natural History Museum, the Princess of Wales chose a smart yet relaxed look built around timeless wardrobe staples.
She layered Ralph Lauren’s classic herringbone tweed blazer over the WNU "The Boyfriend" shirt in off-white. While both items are new to her public wardrobe, it’s likely the blazer has been in her closet for some time, as the style has since been discontinued.
Kate complemented the crisp tailoring with slim-leg trousers in deep forest green, a style not previously seen in her wardrobe.
A coordinating croc-embossed belt in the same shade tied the pieces together neatly. First seen at the 2014 St Patrick’s Day parade, the still-unidentified belt has made several reappearances since.
On her feet, the Princess added a touch of autumnal warmth with the Pretty Ballerinas 'Angelis' loafers in cognac. Again, while new to her public wardrobe, it’s likely she has owned the loafers for some time, as the style has since been discontinued.
Her accessories carried a personal note. She wore her Kiki Classics Green Amethyst Pear Drop Earrings, paired with two personalised gold necklaces by Daniella Draper—the Fixed Alphabet Necklace and the Midnight Moon Necklace—both featuring her children’s initials.
Kate's hair, styled in loose, effortless waves that cascaded over her shoulders, appeared noticeably lighter than usual, lending a fresh and radiant glow to her overall style.

I just love the tweed jacket and crisp white shirt. The jacket fits beautifully, tailored. The pants look great, fit well and tapered nicely. Love the Loafers, perfect choice with these pants. The subtle necklaces are attractive and a welcome addition. Lovely to see her out and about, happy and engaging.

I’m loving the Princess’s lighter locks. I’ve been toying with the idea of lightening my own hair for a while, and seeing Kate’s new look has given me the confidence to finally go for it!
