Tonight, the British Royal Family hosted an opulent State Banquet at Windsor Castle in honour of U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump during their State Visit to the United Kingdom.
Ahead of the grand event honoring the U.S. delegation, the Prince and Princess of Wales posed for a striking photograph, exuding elegance and regal poise.

The White House shared a video of the procession of royals and guests as they made their way into the banquet hall.
Princess Catherine was seated beside President Trump. During his speech, the President made special mention of the Princess, offering warm remarks: “Melania and I are delighted to visit again with Prince William and to see Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine – so radiant and so healthy – it’s so beautiful. It’s really a great honour, thank you.”
For tonight’s state occasion, the Princess of Wales chose a couture Phillipa Lepley design inspired by the London atelier’s ‘Darling’ coat.
The piece, hand-embroidered in gold Chantilly lace, was elegantly layered over an ivory strapless silk crepe gown.

The Princess carried her ivory Anya Hindmarch ‘Maud’ clutch, crafted in satin and adorned with delicate pearl embellishments.
Peeking out from beneath the full-length gown were the Aquazzura ‘Fenix’ 105mm pumps in metallic gold.
Her royal jewellery featured the Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara and Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Orbital Pendant Earrings.
The Princess adorned her gown with the sash and badge of the Royal Victorian Order, the Maltese Cross, and the Royal Family Orders of both King Charles III and the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Tomorrow, Princess Catherine and First Lady Melania Trump will undertake a joint engagement, welcoming a group of Scouts from Lewisham to Frogmore Gardens.

Her best look in a long long time. Love everything about this look, the gown,the hair, her makeup...it's all perfect. Princess Catherine looking like a proper princess.

It's been a treat to see Lepley successfully rocking the glamour and panache out there, given the end of the Burton/McQueen relationship which has so long been Kate's standby for these occasions.

This gown looked exceptionally beautiful, feminine and very becoming, she looked so elegant. The back view equally as beautiful. Her hair out in this instance, I loved. The diamond earrings, stunning, adding plenty of sparkle. The Maud clutch is gorgeous, perfect choice with this gown.

Kate's evening dress for the state dinner is an absolute triumph and is a remarkable success given the last time she wore all gold it seemed like she could never do better. This is so different from the cascade of sequins last time. it speaks very much of old world grandeur in the exquisite craftsmanship of the lace.

This is by far my favourite State Banquet gown; that said, the Bond gown remains my overall favourite and will be hard to surpass. Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
