The Duchess of Cambridge attended the opening night of the Broadway musical 42nd Street at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane this evening.
The stage show's West End revival is helping to raise money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) and Kate attended in her role as Royal Patron of the charity.
The Duchess walked the red carpet in a new claret embellished tulle midi dress by Marchesa Notte (£1,105).
The stunning silk blend tulle dress is detailed with tactile lattice and rosette motifs. It is partially lined to create a sweetheart neckline, and the retro fit-and-flare design has a defined bead and crystal-embellished waist. The full, layered skirt is reinforced along the hem to hold its voluminous shape. The dress is currently available from Net-a-Porter, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Far Fetch.
This was a designer debut for Marchesa Notte in Kate's closet. The label was created by British designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig in 2006. I knew the brand would be a good fit for Kate because only a few weeks ago I pinned some of their gowns to the "Kate Might Wear" Pinterest board :) Here's a look at some of the other fabulous frocks from the line:
Kate also debuted a pair of eye-catching earrings.
They are the Kate Spade pretty poms tassel statement earrings (US$98). The oversized earrings are handcrafted from gold plated metal with sumac red silk thread and glass beads. The style is available at Kate Spade New York, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Shopbop, Zappos, and Lord & Taylor.
The Duchess accessorized with her cranberry suede Mulberry 'Bayswater' clutch bag and Gianvito Rossi 'Gianvito 105' Royale Burgundy Suede Pumps.
At the end of the show, Kate was invited on stage and she was presented with a pair of tap shoes.
Here's a final look at Kate leaving the theatre.
