Today, the Duchess of Cambridge undertook a series of engagements in the Royal Borough of Kensington, only a stone’s throw from her home at Kensington Palace. She began her day with a coffee morning at Family Friends, a charity that encourages people to befriend and mentor local families in need.
Kate, who is six months pregnant, looked elegant in a mist blue coat by maternity brand Seraphine. She wore the 'Natasha' Cashmere Blend Coat (£195.00) and the soft mist blue coat is from Seraphine's upcoming LUXE collection. The cashmere-blend coat is a collarless style, finished with faux-pockets and iridescent mother of pearl buttons.
In a rare move, Kate removed her coat during the meeting and revealed a new floral maternity dress.
The frock is also by Seraphine, the 'Florrie' style (£99.00). The floral print dress is a mix of marine ocean shades. It has an empire waist silhouette with a shallow scoop neckline and elbow-length sleeves.
The Duchess coordinated the outfit with her Stuart Weitzman 'Muse' navy suede clutch and bespoke Alexander McQueen navy suede pumps.
She kept her jewellery simple, wearing her Kiki McDonough Classic Green Amethyst and Diamond Cushion Drop Earrings and Cartier Ballon Bleu Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch.
Following her visit to Family Friends, the Duchess made a trip to the Kensington Aldridge Academy (KAA), where she was treated to a dance performance before officially opening the school which launched in September 2014. KAA is a new secondary school, situated in the heart of North Kensington. The new academy serves the North Kensington community, with all of its students living less than a mile away. Before the KAA opened, many students had to travel outside the Royal Borough to complete their secondary education.
For her final engagement, Kate crossed the street to the new Kensington Leisure Centre. Once inside, Kate was given a tour of all the new facilities. Both Prince William and Prince Harry took swimming lessons at the old Leisure Centre when they were attending the nearby Wetherby Prep School. During today’s ceremonies the Cambridge family were given lifetime memberships to the Centre.
I think you will all agree that today's outfit was one of her best maternity looks to date. The combination of the baby blue coat with the matching floral dress was a winner. She looked radiant and happy. I hope we continue to see more of the Duchess leading up to the birth of baby Cambridge #2.
