Pippa Middleton got married today and big sister Kate was on hand to help arrange her wedding dress before she walked down the aisle of St Mark's church in Englefield to exchange vows with James Matthews.
Pippa looked radiant in a white Giles Deacon guipure lace gown designed with a high neckline, cap sleeves, a corseted bodice and a heart-shaped detail at the back.
Kate had an unofficial role as matron of honor and helped guide the pageboys and bridesmaids into the church at the commencement of the ceremony.
In the bridal party were her two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte who looked adorable in their bespoke Pepe & Co outfits.
The Duchess picked up on the accent colour in the bridesmaid dresses and wore a dusty pink silk dress by her most trusted designer, Alexander McQueen. The fashion house has created so many of Kate's most important looks — including her own wedding dress.
The bespoke piece is a modified version of the designer's Bell Sleeve Dress Wool Crepe Dress (ID by @PerthsFashion). The dress features an inset waist, plunging v-neck and peplum detail. We've seen Kate in this silhouette before - in 2012 she wore a green Alexander McQueen bell-sleeve crepe gown for the Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
She complemented the dress with a Jane Taylor headpiece in a matching hue.
Kate donned a new pair of Kiki McDonough morganite drop earrings. They are from the jeweller's Special Edition collection and retail for £7,500.
Finishing off the monochrome look were her trusty Gianvito Rossi 'Gianvito 105' Praline Suede Pumps.
It's a universal rule that you don't outshine the bride, and Kate got it just right! Her ensemble was elegant but not so innovative that she'd upstage her sister.
And finally, congratulations to Mr and Mrs Matthews!
