Royal Visit Germany - Kate wears Markus Lupfer dress for a night with Berlin's top creative citizens
Following a day trip to Heidelberg, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge returned to Berlin this evening to attend a reception in the vintage mirrored hall of Clärchens Ballhaus, one of the last remaining ballrooms in the city.
The creative industries reception was attended by some of the most creative, innovative, and exciting new names in the world of art, culture, style, fashion and technology in the city of Berlin.
Kate used the occasion to engage in sartorial diplomacy and stepped out in a new dress by German-born London-based fashion designer, Markus Lupfer.
The sleeveless midi dress with an all-over "Wild Sparrow" print is from label's Pre-Fall 2017 collection (ID by HeavenLM on Twitter). The richly hued dress, cut with a chic silhouette was the perfect choice for an audience with Berlin's most fashion savvy citizens.
The dress has sold out, but the print is also rendered on the Markus Lupfer Jacquard Bird Melissa Dress which is available at Harrods.
On her feet were the Prada scalloped strap suede sandals she debuted at last night's embassy reception. They remain available in black only.
Here's a closer look at Kate's accessories.
The new clutch bag is by Anne Grand-Clément - a designer born in North Africa who started her own accessories collection following a stint with luxury brands such as Tod’s and Cacharel. Kate carried the 'Plain Iron' zip pouch featuring a signature geo-optical print. The pouch comes in various sizes and retails from £145.
The metallic chain-like belt is from the Jenny Packham Bridal Collection - thanks to super sleuth @PerthsFashion for the ID.
Royal jewelry aficionado 'Order of Splendor' confirms the three-string pearl bracelet is a piece belonging to the late Princess Diana. It was designed by Nigel Milne - a small independent jeweller based in London’s West End.
Kate finished the look with her Soru Baroque Pearl earrings (£130).
