The event at St. James’s Palace highlighted the charity’s work in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. 
The cause holds particular personal significance for the royal family following the King’s cancer diagnosis in February 2024 and the Princess’s own battle with the disease, which ended with her announcing she was in remission in January 2025.
For the occasion, the Princess debuted a red printed dress by Rodarte, marking her first appearance in a design from the Los Angeles-based label.​
Made in the USA, this midi dress showcases Rodarte's penchant for romantic, delicate aesthetics. The style is made from soft silk twill with a dainty heart print, a belted waist, and a contrasting collar.  The floral appliqué adds a whimsical touch.

The design is the ​Double-Breasted Blazer Frock Coat (£1,425). This made-to-order garment is defined by its longline silhouette, featuring a sculpted waist with back-tie detailing, structured shoulders, and a refined double-breasted front. Expertly crafted from grey 100% British wool, the design is elevated by a contrasting white double lapel and crisp stretch-cotton collar, lending a touch of modern distinction to a timeless tailored classic.

Honouring the guest nation, the Princess of Wales wore an emerald green gown for this evening's state occasion, a sartorial nod to the Nigerian flag.
Her dress is a bespoke iteration of Andrew Gn’s Chiffon Pleated Gown from the Fall/Winter 2021 collection. Crafted from 100% silk, the design features a sophisticated high neck and voluminous blouson sleeves, accented by intricate pleating at the neckline and waist. Post-parade, the Princess awarded service medals before meeting with Association members and the ‘Mini Micks’ cadets. She concluded her visit at the Sergeants’ Mess, thanking regimental families for their vital support of the Armed Forces.
The Princess looked elegant in a military-inspired outfit that perfectly balanced tradition with a modern fit. She chose her green Alexander McQueen double-breasted coat, which she first wore in January 2023 and most recently on Christmas Day 2024.
