Popsugar have exclusive pics of the Duchess of Cambridge shopping at Zara Home in Chelsea, only hours before she attended the 100 Women in Hedge Funds charity gala on 24th Oct 2013. She was seen buying homewares, no doubt to furnish her new home at Kensington Palace. Kate looked casually comfy in a boyfriend cashmere cardi from Zara, the 'Debarn' blouse from Jack Wills and navy Zara jeans. On her feet were Mint Velvet plimsolls, and she carried her Mulberry 'Polly Push Lock' bag. Kate had her hair swept back into a ponytail and accessorised with her Kiki McDonough citrine peardrop earrings. We have seen her wear all these pieces before, but there is one notable piece of bling which is new. It is a long gold chain pendant featuring a baby boy figure. Hopefully more details about the pendant will be revealed soon. SHOP Kate's look ...Update (18th Feb 2014):We finally have an ID of the necklace mentioned above. It is by Merci Maman Boutique, a UK based jeweller. The company shared the news on their Facebook page: Kate's necklace features three charms suspended from a gold plated long chain; a mini heart engraved with W representing Prince William, a disc with her baby son's full name George Alexander Louis, and a sweet little boy charm. It has been reported that Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton bought this engraved charm necklace for the Duchess after the birth of Prince George. The company has named this necklace charm set 'The Duchess Necklace', and you can customise your own necklace for £89.00.
Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge turned to her favourite design house for her son Prince George's christening yesterday, looking stunning in a customised Alexander McQueen ensemble. The bespoke creation featured a statement ruffle jacket and a matching A-line skirt. It was based on a leaf crepe coat dress previously seen among the Spring/Summer 2012 McQueen collections as pictured below. Kate accessorized her two-piece outfit with a Jane Taylor felt beret, appropriately named 'Georgie'. The hat features a delicate silk organza rose and a classic veil trim. On her feet were her beige Russell & Bromley 'Park Ave' platform pumps. Kate finished the look with her Kiki McDonough citrine drop earrings. You can read the full details of Prince George's christening on the official website of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
It's been a while since I've done a budget style challenge, and after I found an alternative for Catherine's turtleneck dress, I thought it would be an ideal outfit to repliKate.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore this outfit back in December 2011 when she and Prince William visited the Centrepoint Camberwell Foyer facility. She paired an olive Ralph Lauren Blue Label turtleneck dress with her trusty Aquatalia Rhumba boots and a simple Reiss black suede waist belt. Kate completed the look with her Kiki McDonough Grace earrings. The estimated cost of Kate's outfit is US$2100! After a little internet shopping, I've managed to put together this entire look for about 10% of that value! You can steal Kate's style for under US$220 :) JCPenney currently has a "Buy More, Save More" promo offer, so I thought it would be wise to try find as many repliKates as possible to maximise my savings!
