How to replikate the Orla Kiely dress

The Orla Kiely grey pleated dress would easily be in my top 5 "Kate dresses".  I would love to get my hands on this frock but it sold out long ago, and it was probably beyond my budget anyway. I was inspired to revisit the Orla Kiely dress when I recently found this ModCloth replikate. Unfortunately they don't have it in my size so I starting looking around for more alternatives.

I didn't have much luck, so I thought I would get creative and "make" a replikate. I can't sew, so that was out of the question, but I had a light-bulb moment when I was browsing online and came across a lace necklace. That's when it dawned on me that I could try find a grey dress with a similar silhouette as the O.K. dress and pair it with a lace necklace!

Amazon seemed to have everything I was looking for! I found a Suzi Chin grey dress and this super cute (and cheap!) lace necklace. For completeness, I added a clutch and suede shoes :)

These items are still in my Amazon cart because I'm waiting on reviews for the Suzi Chin dress to see how it fits. Living in Australia has its disadvantages when it comes to shopping online from overseas retailers.  Unfortunately, it's costly to ship and return if it doesn't fit :(  So I bank on reviews to help with my buying decision.   If anyone wants to give this replikate a go, please let me know how you get on!
