Queen Mother’s Sapphire & Diamond Fringe Earrings

Originally owned by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, these earrings showcase sizable sapphires encircled by diamonds, with diamond fringes hanging from them, all in an Art Deco style.

The Queen Mother began wearing these earrings in the 1960s following her widowhood, and it is speculated that the stones originated from a sapphire demi-parure gifted to her by Queen Mary on her wedding day.

Following the Queen Mother's passing in 2002, her daughter, Queen Elizabeth II inherited the earrings but they remained unworn until they appeared on the Duchess of Cambridge in 2015.
