REPLIKATE REVIEW
My dear friend Katie from the popular Instagram page @katemidleton has kindly reviewed her recent repliKate purchase from Aliexpress:
I think if there's one thing that screams Duchess Kate it is her Stuart Weitzman 'Corkswoon' Wedges which she has worn countless times. This was one of the main reasons I set out to find some repliKates of them, the other being that they are such a beautiful shoe!
I found these incredibly similar wedges on AliExpress for USD $37 with free shipping and pretty much clicked 'buy now' without even thinking about it. They offer the colours hot pink, black, brown, khaki, blue and royal blue with a large selection of sizes. The ones I bought were in the blue colour which are slightly darker than the royal blue ones and more of a similar shade to Kate's. So after buying them on impulse (something I do a little too much), I had some doubts about whether or not they would be true to size or if I could manage to walk around in such a high wedge. When I received them in the mail they came wrapped up carefully in a box with grip pads. Trying them on they seemed a little snug but I kept them on for a while and found that they soon seemed to mold to my feet. They are also very true to size and are very easy to walk in. I also love them because they are so versatile; I can wear them so many places and with so many outfits. I'm not used to wearing heels but have worn these around a few times now they have become quite comfortable! Overall I am very happy with my purchase and recommend them to others looking for a replikate or just a comfy and elegant pair of wedges in general. FASHION UPDATES

Earlier this month, the Duchess surprised us when she attended the Head Together launch wearing a geo-printed skirt from Banana Republic. It was the first occasion we had seen Kate don a piece from from the American fashion retailer. I checked out their new arrivals to see which other styles may catch the eye of our Duchess!

STORE SPOTLIGHT
Some of you are probably already familiar with Girl Fabulosity, an Etsy store that offers an extensive range of beautiful repliKate headwear at affordable prices.
The store was founded by Brandi Wright from North Carolina. In her own words, here's a little background about the store:
I created GirlFabulosity when I fell deathly ill between 2011 and 2012. I was couch bound for most of that time or in-and-out of the hospital. I have always loved making things of any kind with my hands and ordered some feathers and other hat supplies from a few Etsy stores to try my hand at making hats for my dogs. It soon turned into something of its own. About a month later I ordered my first saucer hat block and started making hats similar to what I now sale. It has blossomed into something I never knew possible. I'm completely self taught and learn mostly by either just looking at a hat or studying a video online tutorial. Many of my supplies are ordered from Australia or England. I hand sew everything myself and everything is made with time and care. So when your order takes a little longer to ship that is why... there are so many steps in making just one hat. I love shipping things to far off locations like Alaska or Russia knowing that my customers are getting "one of a kind" pieces, because no two hats are exactly the same! It's amazing how many different places I have customers. I really love that I have my loyal customers from all over the world that have become friends.

If there's one brand I would love to see Kate wear more of, it would be Ted Baker. The only pieces we have seen Kate wear by this quintessentially British brand is the 'Jinan' trench coat and 'Stardy' Pleated Bib Blouse.
Season after season, Ted Baker continues to offer a perfect mix of distinctive design, high quality detailing and unconventional creativity. I hope Kate will reconsider Ted Baker for her closet. Here's a curated look at the SS16 collection, fit for a Duchess!
