REPLIKATE REVIEW
I was pleased to receive a review from Christina who looks gorgeous in this popular Eliza J repliKate of the Erdem 'Cecile' lace dress! Here's what she has to say:
This is my second lace dress Eliza J purchase, both from Nordstrom. I also have the full length DVF cap Sleeve Zarita dress (which was dreamy to wear as far as fit & comfort).
The blue Eliza J lace dress repliKate of the Erdem fit fairly true to size. One of the negative reviews I saw was regarding the stiffness of the sleeves. I agree that the sleeves are slightly stiff, but I really had no problems wearing the dress to a wedding reception and the dancing portion afterwards. I wore my Sledge pumps, seriously, I am amazed how my feet can withstand both standing and dancing in them. Overall I will happily wear this ensemble again. I am also excited to wear my long Zarita again. Loving the lace! Christina PRODUCT REVIEW
Sara from the blog Me and My Mum Kate, has kindly contributed a review of the Jojo Maman Bebe Cream Princess Line Maternity Coat:
It was love at first sight. The instant I saw the pictures of The Duchess Of Cambridge at the Downtown Abbey set I knew what I needed to do. I needed to buy that coat. As a high school student who plans to put herself through pilots training next year, the £89 price tag made me cringe. The eBay price tag of $289 was worse, so I folded my cards and gave up. Five months later, the coat went on mega sale on Amazon and I bought it for a wonderful $29.10.
There were two sizes available, UK 8 and UK 18. I'm petite so I went with the UK 8 and it fits pretty good. It is as described. The buttons are perfect size and easy to use. I love the button 'belt' detail on the sleeves and it is the perfect length. I was worried that the fact that it was a maternity could would be very obvious, but it's not! I can only tell when its laying flat on the bed. The inside is fully lined with a lovely white satin. The only issue is very minimal. Amazon mentioned that it had a "removable zip panel for early and post pregnancy". No zip panel was to be found-- not sure what happened there. I was also a little thrown off with the coat material. I hope I am explaining this right, but I expected a smoothe fabric and I was surprised to see it was "bumpy". The pictures on Amazon and the JoJo website are misleading! FASHION UPDATES

COLLAGES BY KATIE
I have teamed up with Katie from one of my favourite Duchess-inspired Instagram accounts @KateMidleton. The account is filled with fun facts and intriguing information, but what I particularly love are Katie's collages. She creates an informative series of collages related to Catherine's sartorial choices. I have teamed up with Katie to reproduce the collages, and each week I'll be sharing one in the newsletter.
This week we take a look at Kate's affinity for neutral sheath dresses and their similarities:
The Fold dress she wore yesterday (#2)) and the Matthew Williamson dress she wore to a screening of a documentary in 2012 (#4) have small peplums. But when I first saw this new dress of Kate's, my first thought was the oatmeal colored Amanda Wakeley dress she wore in 2011 to a children's hospital (#3). Her Malene Birger dress from the Canada tour (#1) also shares similar lines to the others. I think this style suits Kate the most. What's your favorite?

Jill sent through a review for these almost-perfect repliKates of the Mint Velvet plimsolls:
I'm very pleased to tell you about my UGG Australia 'Tomi' Suede sneakers which, in my opinion are about as close to Catherine's plimsolls as you can get. I purchased these shoes online at UGG Canada last February. I have worn them on many an outdoor activity since. They are great to wear for a day on a boat, at my sons ball games or a day of running errands or sightseeing. My main reason for purchasing them was as a sneaker alternative to take on my upcoming trip to Paris and London in the Fall. I have no regrets. They are very comfortable, look great with a casual outfit without being sneakers and the gray goes with everything from my favourite J Brand Skinny jeans to a slim stretch pant! I prefer to wear them with bare feet as they have some shearling lining, but if you want, I'm sure they would look great with a low sock. So glad I bought these and would recommend them to all. They were $135 Canadian and come in a variety of colours with free shipping!!

CAMBRIDGE COSMETICS
This week, I'm delighted to introduce Cambridge Cosmetics, an Etsy store that offers a "Beauty Box" filled with products used by the Duchess of Cambridge. The store was founded by Suzanne Marutollo who is a fellow repliKater and long-time member of the Kate's Closet community :)
In her own words, here's a little background about what Suzanne has to offer and why she started the store:
I decided to come up with this idea of a Kate inspired beauty box because I wanted to try out a lot of the products Kate was using but not having to invest in the full-size because some of the things are very expensive. I like the idea of Birch Box (if you're familiar with it) and how you could try out a lot of different products at once. I thought wouldn't be great if there was one that had all of the things Kate uses. I didn't really see one available (or at least not year-round because during Christmas sometimes there are special giftable items available) so I decided to make my own. I started making them for my friends and they really liked them and I thought maybe this is something that a lot of people might be interested in. So that's when the idea was born.
Each box contains five samples if you buy the Basic Box and six if you buy the Deluxe Box. The Deluxe also has a replica of Kate's engagement ring (A note about the rings - they are different from batch to batch because I have been deciding on which one I want to move forward with so I have a lot of options right now). The samples in each box, regardless of the box you buy, are good for 1 to 2 uses. Each box is different. I try to not put the same things from box to box to mix it up a bit. The ribbon colors are inspired by dresses Kate has worn which you can see on my pictures on my Etsy page. I make all the samples myself by purchasing the full size item and dividing it up into small pots and vials and labeling each of them. What makes my box is different from other boxes being offered is that 1) it's Kate specific 2) it comes with an option of a replica ring and 3) if you look on my Etsy page if you really want one of the samples listed I will try to put it in your box so in a way there some customization available.

[email protected] NEWSMark your calendars, it's back to work for Kate! On 17th September, the Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Anna Freud Centre to see their work on children's mental health care. Here's a little more from the press release: 'Her Royal Highness will visit the site of the Anna Freud Centre's planned Community Campus and its Family School, both located near Kings Cross. The visit reflects the Duchess's interest in child mental health issues and the importance of early intervention and working with the whole family to provide children with in-school mental health services.' REPLIKATE ROUNDUPBelow are my favourite repliKates of the week ... REPLIKATE REVIEWGiulia, a frequent contributor to Kate's Closet has taken the time to submit another beautifully detailed review of two repliKate rings: Review of the engagement ring Here is the review about maybe the most beautiful replikate I have ever bought and the most beautiful not real ring I have ever seen. I ordered the ring from AliExpress because both the seller and the item have hundreds of amazing reviews and lots of customers attached their pics so I could see the actual item. The ring is just PERFECT. It’s made from sterling silver (inside the ring there is carved “925”) and cubic zirconia stones that shine like real diamonds and sapphires. It’s smaller than Kate’s ring but I personally think it’s a good thing because it makes the ring “more real”, it’s very rare or quite impossible that a not-royal woman can afford a real ring like Kate’s. It counts 14 diamonds exactly like the royal ring. The size is perfect, I asked to the seller to help me and he replied me immediately. I measured the diameter of a ring that fits me (16mm) and the seller told me to order size 6. I took pictures using an iPhone 4s and they are not modified in any way, I also took a pic of the replica ring near a real sapphire and diamonds on white gold ring to compare them, the pic doesn’t need words, sapphires look identical (in this pic the replica ring’s diamonds appear a little bit pink but it’s the effect of the reflection of my phone’s cover that is pink, they are perfectly clear, as you can see in the first pic of the collage) Usually my orders from Aliexpress take almost one month to arrive (I live in Italy) but this ring came in 10 ten days since the seller shipped it the day after my order. If you are looking for a replikate of the engagement ring, or just a good ring that seems real and not “too much”, I suggest you to order this one. Review of the eternity band ring I looked for a copy of the Annoushka ring so long and even if its design is pretty simple it was very difficult to find a great copy, especially because the real ring is so tiny and only 2mm wide. Every ring I found before this one had a similar design but was too wide or too bold (and it would have been impossible to match it with other rings). This ring looks real, it’s sterling silver and little CZ. Since it’s so tiny, as you can see in my picture, it goes very well with other rings and matches perfectly any style. It comes into a pretty navy and white box so it’s perfect for a little gift. As the engagement ring, inside it there is carved 925 and also the website guarantee it’s real sterling silver. I absolutely love my new rings! FASHION UPDATESEach week I like to devote a little time browsing the websites of Kate's favourite brands and designers.
