NEWS
This past fortnight included some sartorial surprises from the Duchess. Here's a recap of Kate's engagements since the last Wrap-Up on June 10.
It was refreshing to see Kate professionalize her smart-casual style with trousers for the Land Rover BAR roadshow event. I loved this tailored look on Kate and I hope we see more of it and less of the skinny jeans in the future! The next day there was another surprise when the Duchess opted for a bright pink Alexander McQueen dress for Trooping the Colour. The vibrant hue was a departure from the subdued pastel tones she had worn in the past for this annual event. This week it was back to predictable Kate when she stepped out in a white lace dress by Alexander McQueen at Royal Ascot. The outfit was a mirror of the one she wore for last year's race.

Unfortunately I will not have time to produce a newsletter for the week ending 17 June because I will be busy covering Trooping the Colour :)

IF I WERE KATE'S STYLIST
I'm sure many of you would agree that having the role of Kate's stylist would be the best job in the world! Seriously, how much fun would it be to help Kate shop and experiment with new looks! In this occasional segment, I showcase my daydream outfits for the Duchess.
Kate's upcoming visit to the Land Rover BAR Roadshow will be a perfect opportunity for her to wear the recently released ME+EM "America's Cup" Iconic Breton Top. ME+EM have collaborated with Land Rover BAR and created a bespoke collection for their female support team, including this Iconic Breton Top. I would love to see Kate coordinate it with a vibrant red pant, and enhance the nautical theme with a pair of knot earrings.

Kate took the week off from royal duties but we did get a new family photo showing the Cambridges in a casual setting on the grounds of Buckingham Palace. The image was taken in April by Norman Jean Roy and appeared in this month's British GQ magazine as part of a feature of Prince William and his involvement with mental health. Click to read more >

MIX & MATCH
Kate's outfits are impeccable but can sometimes need a little tweaking for us "normal folk" to adapt for daily wear. In this occasional segment, I show how you can create everyday repliKate outfits by mixing and matching key pieces with your wardrobe essentials!
Last week I came across this fabulous fit-and-flare frock from Land's End and I thought it made a lovely a-line alternative for Kate's Jaeger contrast waist dress. I've taken a smart-casual approach to styling the dress and added yellow for a pop of colour and summer-time freshness.
FASHION UPDATES
The Pied a Terre shoe brand was dissolved by its parent company Dune London a few years ago, but it's pleasing to see that Dune continues to manufacturer similar styles to the 'Imperia' wedge. This season, Dune released an excellent repliKate of the Imperia called 'Kanvas'.

The Goat 'Binky' blouse is still available in select sizes from Farfetch.

In last week's newsletter I posted about the reissue of Kate's Dolce & Gabbana dress in a range of new-season colours and prints. This week, the dress was released in the same forest green hue as Kate's frock, which is exclusive to Net-a-Porter.
