NEWS
Kate took the week off royal duties but we did get news of an upcoming engagement. On 3rd Nov 2016, the Duchess of Cambridge will attend the UK film premiere of ‘A Street Cat Named Bob' in aid of Action on Addiction at the Curzon Mayfair theatre. It will be a red carpet event and Kate will meet some of the stars, cast and crew before the screening.

IF I WERE KATE'S STYLIST
I'm sure many of you would agree that having the role of Kate's stylist would be the best job in the world! Seriously, how much fun would it be to help Kate shop and experiment with new looks!? In this occasional segment, I showcase my daydream outfits for the Duchess!
Last week the Duchess debuted the Kate Spade New York Encore rose dress. Whilst many liked the dress, I did see comments from readers that the dress was not season-appropriate. Others would have liked to have seen Kate ditch her nude accessories and opt for something a little more playful. That inspired me to play around with different looks for the dress. Below is how I would style it for Fall with a hint of whimsy!
For the accessories, I picked up on the deep reds and plums found within the rose print of the dress. These hues are also signature shades of Autumn and Winter. To match the femininity of this floaty frock, soft velvet accessories work best (FYI, velvet is all the rage this season!). For an element of playfulness, I would team the dress with classic Mary-Jane block heels and rose stud earrings.

WOW, what a week it was! The royal tour of Canada was by far the most "adorable" of all the tours! With the Cambridge tots joining their parents on the eight-day visit, it made for wonderful family moments!
The tour was also jam-packed with fabulous fashion, and now that I've had time to recover and recharge the sleep bank, I thought it would be fun to examine and deconstruct Kate's tour wardrobe.
But, first things first ... I want to know what you thought was Kate's best look of the Royal Tour. Cast your vote below!
What Kate Packed for the Royal Tour
I've deconstructed Kate's outfits and tallied up what she wore on the tour:
DRESSES
Kate packed a total of 5 dresses for the tour of Canada, which is far less than the 14 she wore for the India/Bhutan royal visit in April this year. We saw a mix of bespoke designer dresses from her go-to designers and new and unexpected brands.
COATS & JACKETS
Given the mild-to-cool weather during the tour, it was no surprise Kate went heavy on coats and jackets. We saw a mix of 8 rain jackets, blazers and dress coats.

BOTTOMS
JEWELLERY
The Duchess wore 12 different pieces of jewellery during the tour, 9 of which were earrings. The maple leaf brooch, which she wore on three separate occasions during the tour was a borrowed piece from Queen Elizabeth II. She also loaned Her Majesty's diamond & stud pearl earrings. Kate championed local jewelers, wearing handmade earrings from Yukon-based silversmith Shelley MacDonald, and Canadian-born designer Pippa Small.
SHOES
The Duchess packed 11 pairs of shoes and boots, 5 of which were new to her closet. Neutral and brown tones featured heavily, as well as rich red hues.
HANDBAGS
Half of the four clutches the Duchess showcased on tour were new additions to her closet. She favored red tones, a tribute to Canada's national colour.
ACCESSORIES
Thank you to everybody who followed along during the tour! It's such an amazing community we have, and the long hours and late nights were worth it!
