NEWSAs expected, it was a quiet news week on the Kate front. The Cambridge's are enjoying their annual vacation in Mustique with the Middleton family. The young royal family were spotted arriving in St. Lucia en route from London. It's rumoured photos were taken at the airport, but it remains to be seen if/when these will surface. Last year, Hello magazine published exclusive photos of Kate and baby George at the airport so it wouldn't surprise me if they got the scoop again this year.  Carole and Michael Middleton were spotted jetting off to Mustique on Sunday morning.  ---------- UPCOMING ENGAGEMENTS Thursday, 12th February 2015 The Duchess of Cambridge, Royal Patron of the 1851 Trust, will visit Portsmouth to see the progress on the new home of Ben Ainslie Racing and the 1851 Trust and view an art project by the local community. It's a little tight around the waist, but big in the bust, so I'm not sure I could have gone up a size. I like the dress, however, there is one issue with the construction of the top half of the dress. One side is a bit longer than the other, and it creates a folded section just above the waist (almost the entire length of my waist). I have to wear a cami under the dress due to the gape around the bust from the side view and the fact that the dress is a bit too large in that area. Otherwise, I get lots of compliments whenever I wear it! I've been styling it with blue tights and boots in order to wear it to work in the winter. I paid about $50 for the dress, however, for the quality, I think $20-30 would be a more fair price. Due to the navy and white colors of the dress, I have had it dry cleaned to avoid having the navy bleed in the washer. It looks great after a couple of dry cleanings!" Tiffany says; "It does have some major differences from the Tory Burch, like the neckline, zipper, and no shine, but the shape is spot on. (And for a fraction of the cost of the real deal, I will take it!) It is very comfortable and provides enough warmth for our California "winter". She began her day with a coffee morning at Family Friends, followed by a visit to Kensington Aldridge Academy to formally open the new school. A source confirms to E! News that there's increased security on the island and restrictions in place due to "important guests" visiting on holiday. (The Palace would not comment or confirm details.) It's believed the royal family have returned to their beloved getaway spot to celebrate Carole Middleton's upcoming 60th birthday. The fabric, as the original dress, is a little bit shiny, colors are a bit brighter than the PG dress. The details are not exact the same but for the price it is an amazing piece!" The dress is a real bargain at £31.99 (about $48), plus £6 (about $9) worldwide signed-for shipping. Shipping took quite some time: I ordered the dress on 17 August and it only shipped on 26 August. Afterwards, it took about a month for it to get to me in Italy with registered postage, and I received it on 29 September. Anyway, dealing with the seller was a pleasure, as they always replied to emails straight away. Listed as being 80% viscose and 20% silk, the dress is, thankfully, much less shiny in person than it looks in the listing photos. The fabric is reasonably good quality, although I very much doubt it's silk-mix. According to OK magazine, the animal welfare organization PETA, gifted a "classy green coat" to the Duchess on her birthday. The vegan coat is made from high-end faux-wool.  UPCOMING ENGAGEMENTS Thursday, 15th Jan 2015 The Duchess of Cambridge, Royal Patron of The Art Room, will officially name The Clore Art Room at Barlby Primary School, London. Kate will greet Barlby Primary School staff and students, speak to children who attend Art Room workshops, and join a round table discussion about the work of The Art Room. Friday, 16th Jan 2015 The Duchess of Cambridge will attend an event hosted by The Fostering Network to celebrate the work of foster carers in providing support to vulnerable young people. She will be given an overview of the world of fostering by meeting care leavers and social workers before joining a reception for people involved in fostering.
