My dear friend Giulia, from one of my favorite Instagram pages @lelepug has kindly reviewed her recent repliKate purchase of the KIKI Lavender Amethyst Pear and Oval Drop Earrings from Aliexpress:

I bought my earrings for €4.50 from Aliexpress and they arrived in Italy about one month later (usually every parcel from China to Italy takes around 4-5 weeks to arrive).

I must say I'm so impressed, they are super sparkly, every stone is in the right place and the metal is super shiny and smooth.

They are heavier than a pair of classic stud earrings but not too much, perfect for a night time event or a party, probably I wouldn't wear them all the day.

The color is not EXACT the same of Kate's pair, they are amethyst instead of the lighter lavender shade of Kiki's pair but every stone is super clear and they look more expensive than the actual price. 
The packaging was not the best, just a little plastic bag without tags, boxes or anything else.

I absolutely recommend these earrings if you are looking to add a touch of light for your face for a special occasion (probably they won't be the earrings of your life) and if you don't want to spend too much for something you are not sure you will wear often (like me).

Note: I still haven't worn them so I can't say if the metal will become black or not but I can say that my experience with "jewelry" from Aliexpress is great, all the items I have bought are still nice! I also must say to be honest that they are very nice but they DON'T look real gems.

General impression: 4.5/5 (because they don't look real) 
Would I suggest them to a friend?: yes
Would I buy them again?: yes

This past week was one of the busiest on the royal calendar! Following the Queen's official birthday celebrations with Trooping the Colour, the royal family were back out the next day for the Patron's Lunch.

The engagements continued on Monday with the traditional Order of the Garter service.

William and Kate started Tuesday on a somber note with a visit to the US Embassy in London to pay their respects to the victims of the Orlando massacre.

Following their visit to the US Embassy, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge jetted off to Northern Ireland this afternoon for a garden party hosted by the region's Secretary of State.

Kate's week of engagements ended with a debut appearance at Royal Ascot.

The colour of Kate's new suede by Gianvito Rossi has been a topic of debate in the Kate community. I've been in contact with Gianvito Rossi and they have confirmed that Kate wears their Gianvito 105 suede pumps in 'Praline'. This is the official name of the colour. However, stockists such as Net-a-Porter have renamed the shade in their description, hence the confusion. As I suspected, all the shoes below are actually the same hue! Variations in colour between the stock photos is expected because they would have been taken under different lighting conditions by different stockists.

Australian brand, Zimmermann has a new season update of their Roamer Day Dress! It is the 'Roza' Broderie Day Dress, available at Matches Fashion and Shopbop.

Each week I like to devote a little time browsing the websites of Kate's favourite brands and designers. This week, Kate brought back a decade-old brocade coat by Day Birger et Mikkelsen. This motivated me to re-examine the label. 

DAY BIRGER ET MIKKELSEN is the brainchild of Keld Mikkelsen, whose vision was to bring beautiful, ethnic influences from his world travels and merge them with Scandinavian simplicity, masculine tailoring and vintage inspired glamour. His collections are a luxe mix of beautiful basics and intricately embellished eveningwear.

I found many gorgeous styles in the current collection, and it makes me wonder why Kate hasn't revisited this Scandinavian brand? Below are some of my favorites:

Friday marked the start of a weekend of celebrations for the Queen's 90th birthday. It began with the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral. Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh were joined by 53 members of the royal family including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Click to read more >

The celebrations will continue on Sunday with the Patrons Lunch. The street party held at The Mall in St James’s Park will honour Her Majesty's patronage of over 600 charities and organisations. The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge will attend.

On Monday, the Duchess of Cambridge is expected to attend the Garter Day service with other members of the Royal Family.

Winter is well underway in Australia. This week, on a cold, damp day in Melbourne, a much anticipated package arrived from Cornelia James. The traditional brown wrapping paper with trademarked tape instantly warmed my spirits!

As I eagerly unwrapped the paper it revealed a luxurious white signature box. I gently pried off the lid and pulled back the fine tissue paper to reveal their iconic 'Imogen' gloves!

The 'Imogen' gloves by Cornelia James are a staple part of Kate's winter wardrobe. The Duchess has a pair in black and brown, and has worn both on many occasions.

The gloves are simply lovely; they are made in England from merino wool which provides incredible warmth and is luxuriously soft against the skin.   The gloves have some stretch ensuring an ideal fit for various hand sizes. I have small hands and they fit perfectly; equally they suited my sister's larger hands.  Most gloves look bulky on my petite hands, but the Imogen are slender, elegant and feminine.

There was another little treat within the box! 

A few weeks ago, Cornelia James released a printed silk scarf featuring the 'Imogen' gloves. It was love at first sight, and I figured the playful scarf would be a perfect Duchess-inspired accessory for the warmer months! Now I can wear the 'Imogen' all year round; be it in the form of gloves or a scarf! It's worth checking out the complete Cornelia James silk scarf collection!

The Jaeger linen classic blouse worn by Kate for her hike to Tiger's Nest, has been discounted at Jaeger online, House of Fraser and John Lewis.
