The Duchess has no public royal duties next week as she prepares for her sister's wedding on 20th May. Kensington Palace will be organizing press access so we can expect to see photos of the Cambridges. I'm so looking forward to seeing Pippa's dress and of course page boy, George and and flower girl, Charlotte.

Each week I like to devote a little time browsing the websites of Kate's favourite brands and designers. This week, many of the new season pieces from JAEGER caught my eye. I came across these Duchess-worthy styles by the British fashion retailer:
I hope you all have a lovely weekend, especially all the mums/moms ... Happy Mother's day!

For her only engagement of the week, the Duchess of Cambridge played farm hand during a visit to the charity, 'Farms for City Children' in Gloucestershire. Kate channeled a country casual vibe and wore a mix of familiar pieces - many of which we first saw during her last three royal tours. The only new addition to her closet was a blue J.Crew Italian cashmere long-sleeve sweater (US$199).

MIX & MATCH
Kate's outfits are impeccable but can sometimes need a little tweaking for us "normal folk" to adapt for daily wear. In this occasional segment, I show how you can create everyday repliKate outfits by mixing and matching key pieces with your wardrobe essentials!
One of my blog readers from Texas recently purchased the Kate Spade New York Pretty Pom Tassel Earrings. She wanted some inspiration on how to style them for a casual summer look. She kindly asked if I could do a Mix & Match feature for the earrings. Below are a couple of ideas on how to casually wear these fun statement earrings which I think the Duchess would approve of!

This week, when I saw Kate back in j.Crew, it motivated me to take a look at the current offerings from the American fashion retailer. I came across these Duchess-worthy styles: NEWS
A lot has happened on the Kate-front since the last Wrap-Up on 8th April. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have focused much of their efforts on their Head's Together initiative, with the campaign culminating at the London Marathon last Sunday. Here's a recap of Kate's engagements since the last Wrap-Up.
During this time, Kate made a significant style breakthrough. For her surprise visit to the BBC1 Radio studios, Kate ditched her signature skinny jeans for a classic pair of bootcut trousers. Many of us had been hoping to see Kate professionalize her casual wear, and our prayers were finally answered! This was a fashion breakthrough for the Duchess, marking the first time she had worn tailored trousers!
Following the intense build-up to the marathon, Kate took a break this week to recharge her batteries. Next week she has one engagement scheduled. On 3rd May the Duchess will visit Farms for City Children.

MOTHERS DAY GIFT GUIDE
Two weeks from now we'll be celebrating Mother's Day and if you're still hunting for a gift for your mum/mom then why not turn to the Duchess of Cambridge for inspiration. Here are my top gift ideas to say thanks to the special woman in your life ...
Kate reportedly used Jo Malone fragrances to scent Westminster Abbey for her wedding ceremony. She used a combination of Jo Malone's bestselling citrus scents: Orange Blossom, Grapefruit, and Lime, Basil and Mandarin. Freshen up mum's day with these luxurious scents from Jo Malone:
Jo Malone is also available from these top retailers:
USA - Nordstrom | Saks Fifth Ave UK - John Lewis | House of Fraser Australia - David Jones

If your mum enjoys a cuppa then perhaps one of these royal tea gifts will delight her:
I also recommend anything from Kate's favourite potter, Emma Bridgewater!

If your mum likes a little bit of bling, why not gift her with some timeless repliKate jewelry pieces that wont break the bank!
If you need some Mother's Day outfit ideas, how about this aptly inspired Lindo Wing ensemble:
On a final note, I want to wish the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge a happy sixth wedding anniversary!
I will be away over the Easter break and unfortunately I will not be able to produce this week's wrap-up.
I will also be unable to produce the following week's newsletter (22nd April) due to prior engagements. NEWS
We got three very different looks from the Duchess of Cambridge this week. On Tuesday evening, Kate stole the show as she walked the red carpet in a Marchesa Notte tulle midi dress for the London opening of the Broadway musical, 42nd Street.
The next day, Kate joined Prince William and Harry for a somber Service of Hope at Westminster Abbey following the London terror attack in Westminster on March 22. The Duchess brought back the Missoni 'Long Snake Stitch Coat' she wore to last year's Battle of Somme vigil in France.
On Thursday, we got some casual-Kate pics courtesy of the Daily Mail. The Duchess was photographed leaving her sister's home in West London. She looked relaxed in her Jonathan Saunders 'Deborah' waffle-knit sweater, black jeans and white Superga 'Cotu' sneakers. Click to read more >

This week's designer debut of Marchesa Notte had me itching to check out the latest styles from the label created by British designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig in 2006. I knew the brand would be a good fit for Kate because only a few weeks ago I pinned some of their gowns to my "Kate Might Wear" Pinterest board! Here's a look at some other fabulous frocks by Marchesa Notte which we may see the Duchess wear. |
