This coming week, the Duchess of Cambridge will resume her royal duties with a visit to the Anna Freud Centre in London on September 17. The following evening, Kate will join Prince William and Prince Harry at the opening ceremony of the Rugby World Cup at Twickenham.
Below are my favourite repliKates of the week ...
Temperley London have an update of the 'Emblem' flare dress, worn by Kate to the Action on Addiction gala dinner in October 2014. It's available from Temperley, Harrods and Shopbop
Each week I like to devote a little time browsing the websites of Kate's favourite brands and designers. This week the new arrivals of Somerset by Alice Temperley caught my eye. I came across these Duchess-worthy styles:
This week, I'm delighted to introduce Cambridge Cosmetics, an Etsy store that offers a "Beauty Box" filled with products used by the Duchess of Cambridge. The store was founded by Suzanne Marutollo who is a fellow repliKater and long-time member of the Kate's Closet community :)
In her own words, here's a little background about what Suzanne has to offer and why she started the store:
I decided to come up with this idea of a Kate inspired beauty box because I wanted to try out a lot of the products Kate was using but not having to invest in the full-size because some of the things are very expensive. I like the idea of Birch Box (if you're familiar with it) and how you could try out a lot of different products at once. I thought wouldn't be great if there was one that had all of the things Kate uses. I didn't really see one available (or at least not year-round because during Christmas sometimes there are special giftable items available) so I decided to make my own. I started making them for my friends and they really liked them and I thought maybe this is something that a lot of people might be interested in. So that's when the idea was born.
Each box contains five samples if you buy the Basic Box and six if you buy the Deluxe Box. The Deluxe also has a replica of Kate's engagement ring (A note about the rings - they are different from batch to batch because I have been deciding on which one I want to move forward with so I have a lot of options right now). The samples in each box, regardless of the box you buy, are good for 1 to 2 uses. Each box is different. I try to not put the same things from box to box to mix it up a bit. The ribbon colors are inspired by dresses Kate has worn which you can see on my pictures on my Etsy page. I make all the samples myself by purchasing the full size item and dividing it up into small pots and vials and labeling each of them. What makes my box is different from other boxes being offered is that 1) it's Kate specific 2) it comes with an option of a replica ring and 3) if you look on my Etsy page if you really want one of the samples listed I will try to put it in your box so in a way there some customization available.
COLLAGES BY KATIE
I have teamed up with Katie from one of my favourite Duchess-inspired Instagram accounts @KateMidleton. The account is filled with fun facts and intriguing information, but what I particularly love are Katie's collages. She creates an informative series of collages related to Catherine's sartorial choices. I have teamed up with Katie to reproduce the collages, and each week I'll be sharing one in the newsletter.
