WHAT'S NEW IN KATE'S CLOSET
This week, Kate debuted three new pieces from her closet:
Below are my favourite repliKates of the week ...
Jill sent through a review for these almost-perfect repliKates of the Mint Velvet plimsolls:
I'm very pleased to tell you about my UGG Australia 'Tomi' Suede sneakers which, in my opinion are about as close to Catherine's plimsolls as you can get. I purchased these shoes online at UGG Canada last February. I have worn them on many an outdoor activity since. They are great to wear for a day on a boat, at my sons ball games or a day of running errands or sightseeing. My main reason for purchasing them was as a sneaker alternative to take on my upcoming trip to Paris and London in the Fall. I have no regrets. They are very comfortable, look great with a casual outfit without being sneakers and the gray goes with everything from my favourite J Brand Skinny jeans to a slim stretch pant! I prefer to wear them with bare feet as they have some shearling lining, but if you want, I'm sure they would look great with a low sock. So glad I bought these and would recommend them to all. They were $135 Canadian and come in a variety of colours with free shipping!!
Each week I like to devote a little time browsing the websites of Kate's favourite brands and designers. This week the new arrivals at Jaeger caught my eye. I came across these Duchess-worthy styles:
COLLAGES BY KATIE
I have teamed up with Katie from one of my favourite Duchess-inspired Instagram accounts @KateMidleton. The account is filled with fun facts and intriguing information, but what I particularly love are Katie's collages. She creates an informative series of collages related to Catherine's sartorial choices. I have teamed up with Katie to reproduce the collages, and each week I'll be sharing one in the newsletter.
This week we take a look at Kate's most expensive clutches:
1: One of Kate's most expensive purses is her Pink Snakeskin and Knucklebox clutch she wore almost a year ago to the Natural History Museum photography awards in the blue Jenny Packham gown. $2237
2: To the Queen's 2012 Diamond Jubilee Kate carried a Red Bow clutch by Alexander McQueen that matched her Alexander McQueen dress. $1851
3: Kate matched her Anya Hindmarch navy 'Morano' clutch to her navy Rebecca Taylor suit in 2012. $1535
4: To the 2013 Trooping the Colour ceremony Kate carried an Alexander McQueen grey suede clutch along with her pink maternity coat by the same designer. $948
5: This 'Maud' clutch by Anya Hindmarch was one of her favorites and is pictured above with her purple Issa dress in Canada. $694
6: Yet another clutch by Anya Hindmarch! This one seen here at Wimbledon last year with her white Zimmerman dress is the brand's raffia and coral fan clutch. $540
7: To match her pink Jenny Packham ball gown worn to the 2011 Tusk Awards, Kate chose a rose pink satin Prada clutch. $540
8: While meeting celebrities in LA 2011, Kate carried a Jimmy Choo 'Ubai' silver metallic clutch with her lavender Alexander McQueen gown. $455
9: Kate chose Diane Von Furstenberg for both her dress and clutch in LA 2011. The clutch is leopard print snakeskin. $447
(P.S: She has worn these clutches other occasions as well as pictured) What's your favourite?
