For her only public appearance of the week, the Duchess of Cambridge joined senior members of the royal family for the annual Remembrance Sunday commemorations at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, London.
On Tuesday 22nd Nov 2016, The Duchess of Cambridge, patron of Place2Be will attend the charity's Wellbeing in School Awards at Mansion House.
Below are my favourite repliKates of the week:
Melissa L. recently made a few repliKate purchases with very happy results! She kindly reviewed her purchases:
First up was the Tory Butch "Paulina" repliKate from Jane Norman. I didn't get a pic while wearing it, but it was a hit at work. I paired it with plain black heels and replicas of the Mappin Webb Fortune pendant and the Ballon Bleu watch. The dress borders a bit on too short for my comfort, but coworkers assured me that it was fine (though an inch less of skirt and they said it would be too short). It was really comfortable to wear all day. I think I might try it with opaque black tights and patent oxfords for a retro 90s vibe.
Next was my latest attempt at the Issa bird dress. From Dorothy Perkins' Billie and Blossom line, this is a light weight dress that I will not be wearing until late spring. It is very flattering on and runs true to size. The neckline is different from Kate's and the print is larger, but I am happy with it compared to some of my other tries at copying the original.
Lastly is an exact (except for color) replica of the Dolce and Gabbana dress Kate wore on the Canada tour. I check eShakti's site almost daily because they get new stock all the time and found their Dome Button Front Dress (romantic name there) accidentally. I was floored how closely it resembled hers. It only comes in black so I had to decide if I should risk missing it to see if it might be offered in Kate's green or maybe red. Eventually I snapped it up because eShakti pieces can vanish forever. A good call as it sold out a couple days later.
The dress fits perfectly and is made of a substantial, slightly stretchy fabric that just skims my curves. It has a full back zipper so I can step into it, which is a big plus for me. The buttons are decorative. Mine were sewn on crooked, but when I put the dress on, they looked straight so they might have been crooked on purpose. I can't wait to wear it!
Kate's trusty LK Bennett 'Nina' clutch is now available in a range of gorgeous new colours and finishes! Shop the "NINA' collection >
In other news from LK Bennett, the British fashion brand recently launched a collection of leisure wear on its UK/International site. Designed to be the ultimate in relaxed style and comfort, L.K. Bennett's 'Athleisure' collection features oversized cashmere jumpers and trendy trainers.
I can see the Duchess pottering around Anmer Hall in this ensemble from the collection :)
Each week I like to devote a little time browsing the websites of Kate's favourite brands and designers. When I stumbled upon the Kate Spade sale at Nordstrom it promoted me to have a look at the brand's other pieces. I came across these Duchess-worthy styles by the American designer:
I always love hearing from fellow repliKaters, so if you would like to submit a review of your recent repliKate purchase or showcase your repliKate outfit/closet, please drop me a line at
