She sought to understand the intricate technical processes underpinning this sector and its indispensable role in bolstering the UK economy.
Additionally, she was briefed on the industry's ongoing shift towards prioritizing sustainable practices, along with its collaborations with academic institutions to provide education and skills development opportunities for young individuals.
The Princess has held a deep and enduring passion for the significance of the textiles industry. Kate's paternal lineage traces back to the proprietors of the woolen manufacturing and trading firm, William Lupton & Co, headquartered in Leeds.

Today, The Princess of Wales visited Streets of Growth (SoG), a not-for-profit youth intervention charity in east London.
During her visit, Kate met frontline staff to hear about the approach that SoG takes to identify, support and coach young people at risk. She also met some of the young people to see how they are flourishing under the charity’s programmes.
The Princess donned a sand-toned Roland Mouret pantsuit, a silhouette already in her closet, but in maroon (shown below).
The separates include a Single-Breasted Stretch-Cady Blazer and a Wide-Leg Stretch-Cady Trouser in a neutral colorway, which is currently unavailable and may have been a custom commission. The designer currently offers them in Black and Maroon.
It appears Kate wore her Kiki Cushion Citrine Drops paired with the Kiki Plain Hoops in Yellow Gold.
We also caught a glimpse of nude suede pumps, but it's difficult to determine their style based on the limited photos. If I had to take I guess, I suspect they may be her Gianvito Rossi Pumps in Bisque Suede.
Today, the Princess of Wales visited the Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton for the first time since her recent appointment as Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm.
Kate toured the Air Traffic Control tower and met personnel to learn more about the operations of the Fleet Air Arm.
