This morning, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge undertook a set of engagements in South London, visiting two youth development organizations. This was Kate's last official engagement before she begins maternity leave for Baby Cambridge #2.
Their first stop was the Stephen Lawrence Centre in Deptford. The centre is home to a Charitable Trust that was set up in memory of Stephen Lawrence who was an aspiring architect but was tragically murdered at the age of 18 in an unprovoked racist attack. The trust helps many young people realise their ambitions to become architects by providing them with bursaries and mentoring support.
The royal couple where accompanied by Stephen's mother, Baroness Doreen Lawrence of Clarendon as they toured the building. The centre is a place for community learning and social research, inspiring and motivating young people. The space is also available for conferences, meetings, training and seminars.
After receiving a pretty bouquet, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge then visited two projects funded by XLP, a charity that works to empower young people to make positive life decisions.
Today, the Duchess was dressed in a fuchsia coat by Mulberry.
It is the second time that Kate has worn this Mulberry coat. The first was when the Cambridge's toured the World Trade Centre Memorial during their visit to New York City.
The Duchess accessorized with her favorite combination, carrying her black suede Mulberry 'Bayswater' clutch and with matching black ‘Power' pumps by Stuart Weitzman.
She again wore the KIKI Morganite cushion drop & diamond earrings.
In other news, on Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with Prince Harry attended a memorial service for Richard Meade, triple Olympic gold-medalist. They were photographed by a bystander on their way to the Bath Abbey.
Kate wore the Beulah 'Chiara' wool trapeze overcoat, Stuart Weitzman Muse/Raz clutch and Alexander McQueen navy suede pumps. This is the same outfit she wore to the Afghanistan war commemoration service earlier this month. She changed up the look slightly, wearing her Annoushka pearl/Kiki hoop earrings and donning a new hat.
I always love when William and Kate do a joint engagement. Their chemistry is undeniable. As this was Kate's last public appearance before maternity leave, the next time we will see the royal couple together will be on the steps of the Lindo Wing!
Best wishes to our Duchess xo

The Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to Brookhill Children’s Centre in Woolwich to learn more about Home-Start. The charity supports children and families who faces pressures caused by isolation, mental ill health, multiple births, bereavement, disability, poor housing or financial stress. The Duchess arrived wearing a black overcoat and a sweet polka dot dress from online retailer ASOS. She wore the ASOS Maternity Exclusive Wrap Skater Dress in Spot Print with 3/4 Sleeve which was available but sold out within minutes of the Duchess wearing it! However, I'm confident ASOS will restock it as they did the navy maternity dress. I get the impression our Duchess is quite fond of polka dot dresses ;) You may recall the Topshop Florence frock she wore during her first pregnancy, and of course the custom Jenny Packham conflower dress she wore when leaving the hospital with Prince George. The black coat Kate wore today has been in her closet for many years but remained unidentified. Today Kensington Palace revealed it was made by her private dressmaker. We last saw the Duchess wearing it in 2012. The coat has a ruffle trim along the placket. Kate accessorized the outfit with her trusty black suede Mulberry 'Bayswater' clutch and Stuart Weiztman 'Power' pumps. She kept her jewellery understated, combining the Mappin & Webb 'Fortune' necklace with KIKI Morganite cushion drop & diamond earrings, and Cartier Ballon Blue wristwatch. I honestly thought this would be the last engagement for Kate before the birth of Baby Cambridge #2. However, Kensington Palace has just announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake 3 engagements in South London on 27th March! The royal couple will visit the Stephen Lawrence Centre, Deptford, to tour the facility and meet Charitable Trust members. This will be followed by a visit to XLP in Gipsy Hill, a charity working to create positive futures for young people from inner London boroughs to watch an Arts Showcase presentation by young performers who have been through XLP’s Arts Programme. And finally, the Duke and Duchess will visit an XLP community bus and the XLP mobile recording studio on the Hazel Grove Estate, Sydenham. REPLIKATE THE LOOK FOR LESS ...
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined the Irish Guards at Mons Barracks in Aldershot for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. Prince William attended the parade as Colonel of the regiment, while Kate presented shamrocks to officers and guardsmen. This follows a century-old tradition inaugurated by Queen Alexandra, wife of King Edward VII, in 1901. Since then a female royal family member has always presented the shamrock. Following Queen Alexandra, it was the the Queen Mother, then Princess Anne and now the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate made an unexpected colour choice for her outfit today. It was predicted she would wear a festive green ensemble as she has done for her past three attendances. Instead, Kate opted for a chestnut brown Catherine Walker coat. The piece is bespoke featuring a Chelsea collar, and a box pleated front and back. The fabric is a double wool crepe. She wore her hair up in a beautiful chignon and topped it off with her Sylvia Fletcher for Lock & Company 'Betty Boop' style hat. The Duchess coordinated her handbag and shoes, wearing the Emmy 'Valerie' chocolate brown suede and matching Emmy 'Natasha' clutch. Kate accessorized with her trusty Kiki McDonough Citrine Drop Earrings. Kate kept her hands warm, wearing the brown Cornelia James 'Imogen' wool gloves. Once again, the Duchess donned the Irish Guards gold shamrock brooch. The three-leaf brooch belongs to the regiment and they loan it to Kate for the occasion. Following the parade, the royal couple met members of the regiment, before sitting for officers' and sergeants’ mess photographs. At the conclusion of the photographs, William and Kate visited a marquee where all-ranks where gathered. The longest serving guardsman in the battalion proposed a toast to the Duke and Duchess and thanked Kate for presenting the shamrock. I desperately wanted to see the Duchess wear something green today, however I still loved this all-brown ensemble. She looked effortless even at 8 months pregnant! A reminder that tomorrow, the Duchess of Cambridge will visit Brookhill Children’s Centre in Woolwich, to learn about the Home-Start charity. REPLIKATE THE LOOK FOR LESS ...
This morning, the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge attended a service of commemoration to mark the end of combat operations in Afghanistan.
Today's remembrance service was for the servicemen and women who died during the 13-year Afghanistan campaign and veterans who fought in the conflict. At St Paul's Cathedral, the Queen lead the nation in honoring all those who fought to free Afghanistan from the Taliban. She was also joined by her husband, The Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Prince Harry - who served two tours during the conflict.
The Duchess looked elegant in a new navy coat by Beulah London.
Annabelle Gonzalez quickly identified it as the navy 'Chiara' wool trapeze overcoat (£650). It is made from 100% wool with a nipped-in waist and soft folds at the hem. It was a fitting choice for the nature of the occasion.
Kate recycled her accessories. On her feet were the Alexander McQueen navy suede pumps. She carried her Stuart Weitzman Muse navy suede 'Muse' clutch and navy bow gloves (first worn to Place2Be Forum in 2013). They remain unidentified.
Today the Duchess premiered some exquisite jewellery.
The My Small Obsessions Facebook community where quick to identify the set. The jewels are from G. Collins & Sons, a family run company that has a Royal warrant of appointment from Her Majesty the Queen. In 2007, Mr Collins became Crown Jeweler and is involved in the care and maintenance of the Crown Jewels housed in the Tower of London.
The set Kate wore today features an inverted pear-shaped 6.3 carat tanzanite pendant, surrounded by .87 carat of diamonds, set in platinum. It retails for a staggering £8400 which reflects the rarity of the tanzanite stone.
Kate’s specific earrings are not shown on the G. Collins website. However, the jeweler showcased a similar pair on its Instagram account. The only difference seems to be removal of the v-shaped three-stone upper section of the earrings.
She also donned a new navy felt wool saucer hat from Jane Taylor.
It is from the milliner's A/W 2015 collection.
Today, the Duchess was elegant and refined, and this is my favorite maternity look thus far. I'll leave you with a photo of Kate's gorgeous chignon hair-do.

The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge are self-proclaimed fans of the hit UK TV series, Downton Abbey. Today Kate got a chance to tour the set at Ealing Studios in London. I know many of you are also Downton Abbey buffs so I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I have never watched the show. I hope you can forgive my ignorance! For today's post I'm going to let the pictures tell the story of Kate's visit to the set of Downton Abbey. The Duchess premiered a new cream coat from UK maternity-wear brand Jojo Maman Bebe. She wore their Princess Line maternity coat and it is currently available for £69 or US$160 from Amazon. The collarless coat is made from a wool/viscous blend and features a tonal single breasted button front. According to Jojo Maman Bebe "it is a great investment piece for your maternity wardrobe, that will fit over your bump at every stage of your pregnancy". Kate recycled the accessories she wore to yesterday's event in Margate; Mulberry 'Bayswater' suede clutch, Stuart Weitzman 'Power' pumps, and Annoushka pearl drop/Kiki diamond hoop earrings. It's been a good day today. Just prior to Kate's set visit, Kensington Palace announced another engagement for the Duchess of Cambridge! On Wednesday 18th March, Kate will visit Brookhill Children’s Centre in Woolwich, London, to learn about the Home-Start charity. I'll see you all again tomorrow when the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge join Her Majesty the Queen and other senior members of the royal family at a service of commemoration to mark the end of combat operations in Afghanistan at St Paul’s Cathedral.
