The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge carried out engagements in London Bridge and Whitechapel on Tuesday.
They meet with local communities to hear about the challenges they have faced over during the COVID-19 pandemic, and shine a light on individuals and businesses who have gone above and beyond to help others during this extraordinary time.
The royal couple's first stop was the London Bridge Job Centre, where they spoke to a group of customers who had been impacted by Coronavirus and are now receiving support at the centre.
The Duke and Duchess then visited The London Muslim Centre in Whitechapel, where volunteers have supported members of their community by helping to cook and deliver meals and medication to the most vulnerable during the pandemic. Lastly, William and Kate visited East London’s famous Beigel Bake Brick Lane Bakery. The couple heard how the 24-hour bakery has helped the local community through food donation and delivery, and the challenges of reducing their opening hours during the pandemic.
