The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge attended a Buckingham Palace reception this evening hosted by the Queen to honor British Olympic and Paralympic medalists from the Rio 2016 games.
Other senior royals in attendance included the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew and Princess Anne.
Kate chose a new bold midi wrap dress from her go-to designer, Alexander McQueen. The bespoke dress has a red poppy print which features in McQueen's Pre-Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Below are just a couple of examples of the print on a sleeveless midi dress and blouse from the collection.
The Duchess accessorized with her Gianvito Rossi red suede pumps and Miu Miu bow-embellished shoulder bag.
She finished the look with her Soru Jewellery Baroque Pearl Double Sided earrings.

The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge visited Manchester today for a variety of engagements.
Kate stepped out wearing a new coat by Erdem. The check coat is from the Canadian designer's Resort 2016 collection.
She also donned a new pair of earrings by Oscar de la Renta (US$190).
The stud faux pearl earrings feature a hammered gold-plated pewter trim. The earrings are currently available at Net-a-Porter, Far Fetch, Moda Operandi, Zappos, and Harrods.
The Duchess supplemented the outfit with familiar navy suede accessories. She armed herself with the LK Bennett 'Frome' Navy Suede Clutch, and on her feet were the Rupert Sanderson 'Malory' Navy Suede Pumps.
Under the coat we got a glimpse of a lace garment, the same one she wore beneath a Paule Ka suit in April 2012. What Kate Wore offers a comparative look:
Here's a closer look at Kate's topsy turvy ponytail.
William and Kate's busy day in Manchester began at The National Football Museum, where they attended a reception and met with some young Mancunians who are making a difference in their communities before taking a tour of the museum. Prince William tried out the penalty shootout simulator.
The royal couple then visited the Manchester Town Hall for a WWI Centenary event at the city's Cenotaph. William & Kate laid a wreath and honoured Manchester's six Victoria Cross recipients.
The Duke & Duchess then headed to The University of Manchester’s National Graphene Institute. The facility is focused on the research of graphene, a thin layer of carbon with properties 100 times stronger than steel. They toured state-of-the-art cleanrooms and laboratories, and meet some of the researchers and industry partners. They were also shown some of the applications of graphene including the world’s first graphene car.
The couple’s final stop was at Francis House Hospice, opened 25 years ago by Diana, Princess of Wales. The hospice is a care center for terminally ill youngsters who may never reach adulthood. William & Kate toured a new £3.5 million wing and meet staff, patients, volunteers and family members.

The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Kingdom of the Netherlands today, marking her first official solo trip abroad as a member of the British Royal family. You may recall she was scheduled to visit Malta alone in September 2014, but had to cancel the trip due to her illness during pregnancy.
Upon arrival, the Duchess made a courtesy call to King Willem-Alexander who welcomed her at Villa Eikenhorst, the official residence of the Dutch royal family.
The Duchess and the King posed for official photos before having lunch together. Unfortunately, Kate did not meet with Queen Máxima who is currently visiting Argentina in her role as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.
For the occasion, Kate wore a new lilac blue belted jacket and pencil skirt by one of her favourite British designers Catherine Walker. The bespoke two-piece ensemble features many of Kate's favorite elements including a belted peplum waist, and the design bears striking similarities to her Luisa Spagnoli separates.
Kate accessorized with her beloved combination of Ginavito Rossi praline suede 'Gianvito 105' pumps and LK Bennett 'Nina' clutch.
The Duchess brought back the diamond stud and pearl drop earrings which she recently debuted in Vancouver during the Royal Tour of Canada.
The earrings belong to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, and have also been worn by Sophie, Countess of Wessex (information from @AnnieElizabethN).
Kate wore her hair tied back in a chic chignon held up by a hairnet.
After lunch, the Duchess toured the Mauritshuis art museum in The Hague for the exhibition, 'At Home in Holland: Vermeer and his Contemporaries from the British Royal Collection'.
During the visit, Kate who studied art history at St Andrews took a keen interest in the “Girl with a Pearl Earring” portrait. It is an oil painting by 17th-century Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. The Duchess mirrored the image with her choice of pearl earrings!
Following her tour of the Mauritshuis art museum, Kate headed over to the British Ambassador’s Residence in The Hague. Here, the Duchess took part in a roundtable discussion on addiction and its impact on family mental health.
For the final engagement of the day, Kate travelled to the neighbouring city of Rotterdam to visit to Bouwkeet, the social Makerspace of Bospolder-Tussendijken. This is a new community focused initiative in the centre of an economically deprived district which provides a creative design and technology workspace.
Textiles, ceramics, bike mechanics and IT programming are just some of the skills local craftsman share with local kids.
Kate took a keen interest in the projects.
We will next see the Duchess on Friday when she and Prince William visit Mancester for a day of engagements.

Today, The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry celebrated World Mental Health Day with a special Heads Together event at County Hall and The London Eye on London's Southbank. The theme of this year's World Mental Health Day focused on mental health first aid and the role everyone can play in supporting family & friends.
Kate arrived at County Hall sporting a new floaty floral frock by Kate Spade New York - a brand first for the Duchess. This continues an experimental trend for Kate. During the recent royal tour of Canada, she premiered some new labels such as Preen by Thornton Bregazzi and See by Chloé. Kate Spade is a favourite of her sister Pippa Middleton, so it was only a matter of time before we saw Kate don a piece from the American designer!
Today, she wore the Kate Spade New York 'Encore Rose' chiffon dress (US$498) - a delicate pink silk dress with a tonal rose print. The shirtdress features a buttoned-up front primly styled with a slender tie at the point collar. An inset waist nips the silhouette and the A-line skirt is finished with precise pleats.
The dress is currently available at Kate Spade, Nordstrom and Zappos. Kate Spade has also used the 'encore rose' print in several designs this season:
The Duchess accessorized with her trademark nude supplements. On her feet were the Ginavito Rossi Praline suede 'Gianvito 105' pumps.
She finished the look with her KIKI Morganite Cushion Drop & Diamond Earrings.
At County Hall, William, Kate and Harry attended a reception where they met young people who have been helped by one of the eight mental health charities brought together by the royal trio's Heads Together campaign.
Today's celebration featured speeches from The Duke and Duchess & Prince Harry. Kate revealed in a speech that she, William and Harry see it as their duty to "shine a spotlight on emotional wellbeing."
Following the reception, the royals walked to the London Eye, where they climbed aboard one of the pods with people who had shared their experiences of mental health issues.
The trio chatted with guests as they took a spin on London's iconic tourist attraction.
We will see the The Duchess of Cambridge again tomorrow when she makes her first solo trip abroad. She will visit The Netherlands for a day of official engagements in The Hague and Rotterdam.

The Cambridges' eight-day royal tour of Canada came to a close on Saturday afternoon when the family of four arrived at Victoria Harbour seaplane terminal ahead of their departure.
Prince George stole the limelight with his adorable double wave.
Little sis, Charlotte also showed off her royal wave.
The Duchess of Cambridge said goodbye to Canada in style, wearing a bespoke panelled cream coat dress by Catherine Walker.
Here's a look at the back of the princess-cut coat.
The Duchess has favored designs by Catherine Walker for previous royal tours. During her first visit to Canada in 2011, Kate wore two pieces by the British designer. She also debuted two Catherine Walker coat dresses during the Down Under tour in 2014.
Under the coat. we got a glimpse of an ivory pleated skirt.
It is most likely Kate's Whistles 'Lina' Ivory Dobby Pleated Skirt. Coincidentally, she premiered the skirt on the final day of the 2011 North American royal tour. Below we see Kate boarding a commercial flight at LAX airport for the return journey to the U.K.
On her feet were the LK Bennett 'Floret' courts in trench leather. We show the shoe at LK Bennett (UK), but it is also available at Nordstrom, and Shopbop. You may be forgiven for thinking they look just like her LK Bennett 'Fern' trench leather courts. The design is identical, but the 'Floret' has a shorter 3.5″ heel compared to the Fern’s almost 4″ stiletto heel.
For the third time this tour, the Duchess wore Queen Elizabeth's diamond Maple Leaf Brooch, paying tribute to the host nation's emblem through her jewellery.
Kate also wore her beloved Annoushka Pearl Drops and Kiki Diamond Hoop Earrings.
Here we see the Cartier Ballon Bleu de Stainless Steel bracelet watch.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their two children, George and Charlotte bid farewell to Canada with a scenic flight in a sea plane. The family departed from Victoria Harbour shortly before 4 P.M. local time and flew to Victoria airport for the long haul flight home to the U.K. aboard a private jet.
If you would like a break down of Prince George's and Princess Charlotte's outfits, please visit Princess Charlotte Style.
Well, that's a wrap! We will do a review and break down of the royal tour wardrobe in next week's newsletter. Also, stay tuned for polls!
