The Duchess of Cambridge spent Valentine's day at the Royal Air Force Wittering base visiting a skills development camp in her role as Air Cadets Honorary Air Commandant.
Today marked the Duchess’s third Air Cadets visit since The Duke of Edinburgh passed on his Patronage in December 2015, after 63 years as Air Commodore-in-Chief.
Kate's first visit was in January 2016 to mark the 75th anniversary of the Air Cadets. For her second engagement with the Air Cadets Kate visited the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford with Prince George and Prince William. On both occasions she wore blue, the official colour of the Air Cadets uniform.
But on this Valentine's Day, the Duchess opted for red - the official colour of love! Her sartorial choice was on point, selecting a red military inspired blazer for the occasion.
Kate debuted the Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini double-breasted twill blazer (US$1,515).
The claret red blazer is part of the designer's Resort '17 collection, inspired by the work of French designer Jean Bouquin who is famed for dressing the St Tropez jetset in the '60s and style icon Brigitte Bardot. Woven with touches of wool, this twill piece has a double-breasted front, peak lapels and embossed gold buttons. It is available at Barneys New York , Net-A-Porter and Farfetch.
This is the second time Kate has worn the brand; she wore a Philosophy jacket for an official photo by Chris Jelf in 2016.
Kate teamed the red blazer with an all-black ensemble consisting of a turtleneck top, Zara Body Curve Jeggings and her Stuart Weitzman 'HalfNHalf' Suede Boots.
We also saw the return of the black bow gloves whose identity remains a mystery!
In the photo below we see she wore her Cartier Ballon Bleu de Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch.
The Duchess wore her hair up in a loose pony tail and finished the look with her KIKI Lauren Yellow Gold Diamond Pave Leaf Earrings.
