Today, the Duchess of Cambridge gathered with extended Royal family members to celebrate the Queen's annual pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace. The luncheon was a private family affair, but photographers managed to get some snaps of the guests as the entered the gates of the Palace.
Kate and Prince George were spotted en route to the Palace with Prince Harry in the front seat of a chauffeur driven Range Rover. Prince William was notably absent from today's festivities. He was in Wiltshire for the memorial service of John Pelly, the father of close friend, Guy Pelly.
Since Kate's first attendance in 2011, she has always favored a festive red outfit for this traditional yuletide luncheon.
Today was no exception. Kate wore her Luisa Spagnoli red dress suit, accented with black buttons and a black velour bow belt. In 2014, Kate converted the dress to a skirt to have the hem lengthened.
The 2-piece suit dates back to at least 2011. Kate first wore it when she and Price William visited St Andrews University to mark it's 600th anniversary. We saw it again during the royal tour of New Zealand in 2014.
Today, we also got a glimpse of her Mappin & Webb Empress Drop Earrings.
