There have been a couple new official photographs circulating on social media these past few days. It started with this solo portrait of Kate which was initially posted on Twitter by Stephen Connor while he attended the International Children’s Palliative Care Conference.
The Duchess sent a message of support to the Conference which was published on the E Hospice website along with the portrait.
Yesterday, we saw another new official portrait, this one of Kate and William together. Photographer Paul Ratcliffe twitted photos of a 'thank you' card he received from the Palace in response to a letter he sent congratulating William and Kate on their fifth anniversary.
The new photographs are by Chris Jelf who you may recall took the family portrait used for last year's Cambridge Christmas card.
In the new photos, Kate premiered an ivory tweed jacket by Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti (ID by Melissa J via What Kate Wore Facebook page).
The cotton/linen blend tweed blazer features a single-breasted silhouette with Peter Pan collar, front patch pockets, dart seaming, and 3/4 sleeves. It is trimmed with applied ribbon detailing at the collar, sleeves, front placket and the pockets.
Philosophy is a diffusion line of Italian designer Alberta Ferretti. The jacket is from the label's Resort 2013 collection and had a RRP of US$695. It was also available in navy and pink.
The brand also offered a matching pleated mini skirt.
This is the first occasion we have seen Kate wear a piece by Philosophy, although it has been in her closet for sometime! Philosophy was founded in 1984 by Alberta Ferretti, offering quality craftsmanship and elegant styles at a moderate price point. In 2014, the label appointed Lorenzo Serafini as Creative Director and the diffusion line aptly changed its name to Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini. You can still find the original Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti range at retail outlets such as YOOX and Barney's Warehouse.
Kate paired the jacket with her Whistles Lina Dobby Skirt first seen in Los Angeles during the 2011 North American tour.
Here's a closer look at the pleat detail, supplied by @hernameispekka.
Kate also wore her Kiki Morganite Cushion Drop & Diamond Earrings.
