The Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Copenhagen this afternoon for a two-day working visit with The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.
On arrival, The Duchess was greeted by the British Ambassador to Denmark, Emma Hopkins who shared this photo on her official Twitter account.
The trip is designed to foster knowledge about Denmark's strategy to early childhood development. The Scandinavian country is a beacon of best practice in its approach to the early years, with a culture which prioritises the best start in life.
Kate's first stop was the University of Copenhagen where she learnt about the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project, a research program that promotes mental well being of children and their parents.
For her second and final engagement of the day, Kate visited the PlayLab - a collaboration between six university colleges in Denmark and the LEGO Foundation with an ambitious vision to strengthen children’s creative, experimental and playful approach to the world. The Duchess clearly enjoyed touring the facility!

Its wonderful to see this beautiful red Zara jacket again. The frilled blouse underneath looks feminine and pretty, the frill sitting in well under the collar of the Zara coat. I love these pants. The black croc midi bag, is divine, I would so love one in my wardrobe!. The choice of jewels was sublime. The pearl pendant is substantial enough to make a noticeable impact, its a lovely piece. The pearl earrings are stunning, very versatile, day or evening wear. The Duchess looked professional and stylish. She even managed to land as elegantly as one could at the bottom of the slippery slide, I could never do that so gracefully. ! She is a real delight.
